a friend at psc told me general duty is 1yr6mnths but specialists (ours) wont be more than 1yr.he said dis maybe 6months due to foreign training we may hv (though,he didn't sound so sure to me anyway,but that's his best of knowledge abt it),I think kelvin2yk can shed more light to dis.

Why don't you people pretend to be engaged in meaningful ventures? Do you have to flaunt your joblessness and idleness for all to see? The rest of us know you are waiting for PSC but you can make this waiting worth your while instead of these incessant rantings and throwing tantrums like 7year olds.

Kelvin your info makes sense but not entirely. The 300PCs, VSAT, & stuff. Not bad, I expect nothing less than that for a govt ICT training facility, a fully equipped lab with high speed internet access for research and communication.
2014 financial provision for new recruits also valid but "payroll enrollment"? just not valid. I mean the new recruits haven't even been officially notified of their appointments yet, no daily newspaper has published their names, only a document on PSC website without official seal or signature. Yes I know there are plans and on-going preparations for the new police officers, I'm not questioning the validity of your info but rather your choice of words in expressing what you know.

I think our training has delayed this since July, 2013. I am hearing that that may be the last recruitment with short service, that subsequent recruitment will be from the Police Academy Graduates that are just being admitted . . . due for resumption for September, 2013.

Still share your info and give people the opportunity to evaluate for themselves the validity of the info, let them choose whether or not to believe.
