This hope uzodinma should know that all the men that put him in power would be leaving before the next election, instead of him to genuinely win the heart of his people he is doing anyhow. Coldie: That man in the middle is supposed to be the commissioner of works. I wonder how he is walking on the road without seeing how substandard the road he is walking on is. Or did he just decide to close his eyes to such substandard works? Imagine how visible the poor state of the road is, on camera. As much as we want the government to provide necessary social amenities, let's endeavour to ring it into them that we DESERVE NOTHING BUT THE BEST #Imo state will be better# 1 Like |

Coldie:“.... would have finished construction in Owerri and focus on other LGA “? Only Criminal minds think about turn by turn development. The turn by turn formula in Imo state is a formula established by criminal gangsters in power since 2007 to shortchange the people of Imo state. Save enough money to steal. Because they hardly go to the turn of the areas they made to wait for their turn. Turn by turn kills development in areas you made to wait for their turns, as the state capital continues to expand and absorb population from areas you made to wait for their turn. Imagine: when we finish construction of Abuja roads, we move down to construction of Owerri roads. 1 Like |

Coldie: .. common sense is that if say 10 roads are reconstructed in Owerri urban, about 3 or so roads must be reconstructed in the other urban areas of the state - Orlu and Okigwe- ...at the same time, save some rural roads that are on the brink of total collapse before they finally give away. It’s malicious work if you say you finish reconstruction of Owerri urban roads first, before any other place. Humans may be urinating and shitting ontop of one another in Imo state capital if the foolish trend of build in the state capital first does not stop now. 1 Like |

Coldie: They can NEVER stop doing only Owerri roads so long as they refused to allow development institutions leave Owerri. Every new administration starts to build and rebuild on already built-up Owerri area. Four or eight years gone, they pocket money that should have gone to the areas they made to wait. Turn by Turn that never reaches the turn of Orlu and Okigwe areas has become an established thing since 2007 to fleece Imo state . 1 Like |

kikake: You have a problem with understanding because you are not open-minded. Yes, you are using the wrong platform to vent your anger on people who never knew you existed. No doubt, Coldie raised a very valid point Rochas spent 8 years constructing the roads in Owerri. At the twilight of this controversial administration, he said that salt water washed away all the roads. The roads in question were obviously substandard projects. Coldie is simply saying that if those roads had been intact, this administration would have focused more on the rural communities. Yes, that is very logical and makes perfect sense. 3 Likes 1 Share |

SmartPolician: Rural communities? Population of Orlu is about 430,000. Population of Owerri is about 1,000,000 with high population of students who come and leave Owerri. Only in your Imo state would conmen classify Orlu as rural area. It’s only demented persons like you who would classify some long established urban centres in Imo state, except Owerri, as Rural communities. Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe were the officially established urban centres of Imo state when the state was created in 1976. But agents of underdevelopment like you and con men in leadership positions of Imo state have been regarding Orlu and Okigwe as rural areas, treat the two towns as rural areas since 2007. Since the roguish treatment of Orlu and Okigwe as rural areas, the rogue politicians STEAL government funds that should have gone to provide urban infrastructures to Orlu and Okigwe. They yearly reconstruct already built roads in Owerri, as well as new roads to their private landed properties in Owerri to increase the value. Owerri lands owners sell a plot of land for million plus millions of Naira. You get happy. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 9:42pm On Aug 15, 2020 |
SmartPolician: What made Rochas spend 8 years building the roads of Owerri - a truth you acclaimed above? Rochas as governor challenged Owerri people to show him any body from Owerri zone who has more businesses in Owerri than him, Rochas. Why would a state governor close eyes and concentrate on building roads only in one place but ignores the ugly political consequences from other ignored places? Business: to use the roads to increase the value of Owerri landed properties of government operatives. |

kikake: Once again, you are venting your anger on people who don't even have your time. If you have any questions, you should go and ask Rochas Yet again, the guy is right: If those roads were still okay, this government would focus on other areas. It's as simple as ABC. 1 Like |

Dedetwo: State capital is the seat of government. It’s not a place to concentrate nearly all government development institutions - as in Owerri, Imo state. No constitution says that state capital must be developed first before any other place in a state. See beyond your Owerri nose for once: for example, Tallahassee is the capital of the state of Florida in the USA. But there are other cities many times bigger, and hosts more government institutions of government, than Tallahassee, in the state of Florida. In neighboring Anambra and Delta states, for example, government development institutions are distributed roughly equal among the senatorial districts. In Imo state, poorly informed political leaders that have consistently emerged from other senatorial zones outside Owerri agree to the falsehood formulated by Owerri that state capital must host government development institutions in the state; that state capital must be developed first before other places in the state get government attention. FALACY, FALSEHOOD. Non uniform development in a state does not impress decent people. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 12:02am On Aug 16, 2020 |
sanctity454: Good they have remembered the importance of public water supply. Owelle thought that private water boreholes are it, or he dodged responsibility. But if the population of Orlu when the reservoir was built more than 50 years ago was 50,000, the population of Orlu today is about 430,00. Underground water supply (boreholes system) for public water supply in Orlu this time is like a scratch on the problem. Water flows from boreholes today, tomorrow it’s dry. Why not activate Okigwe regional surface water supply project, lay pipes from Amuro to Anara to Nkwerre to Orlu to Oru/Orsu/Ideato. Local government areas then organize people to contribute money to buy pipes and reticulate the waters to communities? What’s worth doing is worth doing well. |

sanctity454: World bank put emergency water boreholes, like the ones that were sunk and dried up in Shell Camp Owerri before Mbakwe’s surface water supply system came to Owerri. A state governor rehabilitating Owerri and Okigwe modern water supply projects but intent on emergency boreholes that shall dry up the next day in his hometown...? |

sanctity454: Anything development is welcome bro. We need more things beyond road construction. And since Uzodimma started work nothing like 8lane roads, all I can see is the conventional double lanes and single lanes. Where are we heading to? There should be improvement not going back to initial level. And Orlu and Okigwe need more dual carriage roads not just the few ones Rochas constructed. The two towns need new locations plan by government and allow private individuals to venture in as was done in new Owerri. And by now Owerri should be getting more new planned towns not just new Owerri. The diasporan city should equally be given attention and completed. May God bless Imo state the more. |

B2mario: In bold: Development for Orlu and Okigwe? Hope Uzodinma was asking for Owerri Development Master Plan a few days ago; the same Owerri Development Master Plan which ousted governor Ihedioha was looking for in 7 months. Nobody talks about Orlu and Okigwe Development Master Plan, or Imo state Development Master Plan. Things have since been wowo for Imo state. Achike Udenwa udenwa orlu 8years Ohakim okigwe 4years Owelle orlu 8years Ihedioha owerri 7months Uzodinma orlu 6months + orlu has maintained power for 16+ years yet orlu is underdeveloped with respect to owerri How is it owerri man's fault They governors. Re: Few Pics From Imo State by kikake: 3:36pm On Aug 16, 2020 |
Javierleon:Count Udenwa out. Orlu and Okigwe remain underdeveloped because Ohakim and Okorocha felt they are not from Orlu or from Okigwe. Ohakim from Okohia,Mbano. Okorocha from Ideato south LGA. Their failed calculation was to concentrate on state capital. They were not like former governor Evan Enwerem from Ikeduru area of Owerri zone but who cornered infrastructures to Owerri after depriving Orlu and Okigwe similar infrastructures. Ohakim and Okorocha instead concentrated on state capital, did dual carriage roads in their respective hometowns; left decadence in Orlu and Okigwe. 1 Like |
