After reading through the next year budget, the government laid emphasis on creation of SME for the youths,
After the destruction of DAT somto hospital him hint on building modern market for Douglas, below na d plan prototype,

E go sweet make him replicate this gesture for orlu and okigwe, budding youths dey find way to ply their trade,

Also e go good make him create artisan village so guys go put their skills to use,

Him been dey reason revival of moribund industries, but much was not achieved ,hopefully next year make him find the right and willing partners to run am.govt now na business.

In bold. Provided this governor sees Okigwe and Orlu as areas Imo people also live.
Rochas govt didn’t take Okigwe and Orlu into account.

Imo International market has been in Orlu since 2002, thriving despite that no governor agreed to repair the roads leading to the market since Ohakim era till today.
Orlu needs a public tertiary education institution.
You are an Awo omamma man, not sure you wish Orlu well. The Catholic diocese of Orlu is building a private university in Awo omamma.

I like the way indigenous brands are fast evolving into mega brands with chains across cities. We now have the likes of Everyday, Next and Roban trailing the blaze. That's how ShopRite started and later became a multibillion dollar franchise.

Owerri people are so predictable. This edifice we've all been looking forward to has turned out to be another Hotel. Well the architecture is a breath of fresh air.

Office complex. Was thinking probably a large ICT firm or something because of the unusual non-typical Nigerian style architecture.

Even me am highly dissatisfied with Leo stan Ekeh, it wouldn't take anything from him to sight one ict incubation center in owerri.

bia you guys are beginning to sound somehow about this hotel hate. Owerri has cornered the market on a strong industry and we're here acting like its a problem. tomorrow you'll be in another thread saying nigeria needs to 'promote tourism'

I think if we can maintain this hotel springs and market it to the world, it won't look bad either.

What we need is the collaboration of these hotels with the gorvenment so that the road qualities along the environs and leading to them are world class and accessible.

Owerri Wu ebe ngwori kiss cheesy

I want Imo people to think outside the box. Everyday there’s a new hotel or club. Why not venture into technology? Something like an Imo State Tech Park. Coding camps for the kids. It will also give the youth something productive to do and prepare for the technology driven world. Nigerian kids are being left behind.

The government isn't building these hotels. It's ordinary people, so as an ordinary person, start thinking of how you can start your own tech park. It's a business idea, not a government project.

You just poured out my opinion in your post. These are private capital. If anyone thinks of something profitable and viable in a clime, he/she should go ahead and invest his/her fund into it, and stop attacking others investing in other sectors by asserting it’s saturated. These investors are putting in their funds into hospitality because they feel it’s still profitable...

Yes you're right. People aren't ready to see this, but Igboland is the #1 tourist destination on earth. People will say Paris/Dubai/Mecca/London etc but if we start seeing 'december-time' as what it is -a pilgrimage-, you will know that tourism in Igboland is a billion dollar enterprise, and no place in the world gets that number of visitors every year. We are sometimes brainwashed into thinking that tourism means white people but we have found a way to create the most stable, and biggest tourist industry in the world. tens of millions of people every year and numbers always increasing.

Then add those that stay in Lagos etc that come east to relax on the weekend, easter etc. So it's no surprise Owerri is taking off the way it is because it has honed in on this reality.
