Driving through populated villages within Orlu zone. Might seem like city suburbs to non-Igbos

This was the same denial that you are known for all these years and that’s why imo state is in such ruins and decay. Almost every blogger in Owerri would always show Wetheral road which is just 00.1% of Owerri while 99% Owerri are decayed and in ruins.

Have you wonder for once why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha and Awka than living in Owerri? The answer is simple that Owerri is such a decayed town that has failed to attract even igbos from other states to live there not to talk of other Nigerians.

Onitsha may have its challenges just like every other Nigerian cities, but the condition of Owerri is despicably worse because imo state is among the top 10 most indebted state sin Nigeria but people keep asking where are the monies ? They were all looted by Okorocha, ihedioha, uzodimma, etc

Onitsha even as a major commercial city has always had the kind of infrastructures that Owerri dreams of like flyovers, ten lanes superhighways, cloverleaf interchanges, well planned neighborhoods, etc

There’s no doubt that when we consider all factors and all indices of development like roads, infrastructures, health, education, etc, Anambra comes tops as the most developed Igbo state.

The problem and reason why Owerri has remained a squalor , undeveloped, backward and economically unviable is because imo state indigenes have refused to elect good leaders and even when they find out that they made a leadership mistake they will still not be able to stop living in denial and talk to their governor to do the right thing.

Abagworo:

It is you and others who think like you that have that feeling that someone not from Anambra cannot make known his sincere observation whether negative or positive about happenings in Anambra State. I have always observed the decay in Onitsha but somehow it was a problem for some people to tell their leaders the truth to the face and support the right thing instead of self denial. Soludo is indeed trying but the work load is much so he has to use local contractors with limited funds available.

Bros, you try.

The travelers arrived Orlu town centre - Tijani Street by Awoidemilli Street and Oleme Road junction. They didn't know where they were until they asked a bystander. They also asked for where Nkwo Ito roundabout is, whereas they drove past that roundabout some three minutes before then.
After getting direction from the bystander, they headed straight to old Owerri road dualized halfway by Okorocha govt, reached Carwash by Teaching hospital junction on the road. From there, they turned towards one long street built during Udenwa govt which connects Building materials market in New Owerri road, the road reconstructed by Uzodinma's govt. Next, they were on the federal road in Nkwerre and Nwangele local government areas.

They wouldn't know the all dilapidated inner streets of Orlu. I mean the wrecked urban roads in the area from Building materials market to carwash to Urban secondary school to Imo poly campus/Bishop Shanahan and Catholic Cathedral, and roads from that area to Orlu town centre. People living in these clustered areas in Orlu are passing through hell of wrecked urban roads in Orlu.

Imo indigenes that wishes to know the real condition of Owerri should follow the blogger . Owerri is in total decay and no one is talking. Look at the new Owerri which’s considered the best place in Owerri. Okada, bad roads, filth, etc, are a common sights

Truth is that only people living in Orlu know these details and Governors have killed the local government system otherwise the LGA Chairmen if well funded are supposed to take care of those inner roads. I've transversed Orlu before but I didn't meet the bad roads because I don't know them and nothing led me to using them. Orlu is quite a developed town and all the villages around it are built up in a very large sprawl all the way to Mbano and Owerri.

When an Old trickish man dies and buries himself, one of his hands remains on the surface.
You mean Local Government Area councils to take care of urban roads in Orlu, Imo state's 2nd largest urban centre? Will that start in this administration?
All the still motorable or dilapidated urban roads you see in Orlu Municipal LGA were done by IMSG; except those done by NDDC in Amaifeke-Ihioma area.

Local government Councils take charge of Council roads of rural Local Government Areas every where in Nigeria.

Anambra State governors reconstruct urban roads of Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, etc designated urban centres in Anambra State.
Abia state government takes care of urban roads in Aba, Umuahia. Enugu State government recently transformed Nsukka urban infrastructures, including urban roads, to ultra modern status.

Some of you rag heads of Imo state declare Orlu a rural area. You may wish IMSG start to build another decking for another city in the state capital.

Officially, Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe were declared urban status even before Imo state was created.

I read a lot of reasonable persons from Imo state outside Orlu call on Uzodinma government to attend to the dillapidated urban roads in Orlu. All you do is talk about Orlu villages.

How many dualized road can you see in Nnewi?

However to be honest
Orlu deserves more

You hate the truth that’s why you are always attacking everyone that states the fact.

Based on video on YouTube and eye witnesses, OWERRI is a slum and a dirty glorified village compare to Ekwulobia. Ekwulobia has better roads, flyover and Owerri has no functioning flyover.

Awka and Onitsha have by far better roads and cleaner than the slum called Owerri that’s why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Anambra cities than living in Owerri. Shameless people.

Do you know that Osumenyi and Neni beats Owerri hands downs? Do you know that most imo indigenes live at Ekwulobia, Neni, Osumenyi, etc, but they refused to live in Owerri because it is a slum full of dilapidated muddy roads. Imo state is cursed
