Besides burning Korans during church service, many Christians in America are also attacking public education.
They have defeated the constitutional law that separates church from state by winning the right to use govt money to fund their own extremist christian schools.
You want to know what they teach to children in these christian extremist schools?

Here are 14 wacky "facts" kids will learn in extremist christian schools funded with public tax payers money. According to them, the evidence for these "facts" can be found in the bible lipsrsealed

1) Dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together thousands of years ago.
"Bible-believing Christians cannot accept any evolutionary interpretation. Dinosaurs and humans were definitely on the earth at the same time and may have even lived side by side within the past few thousand years."—Life Science, 3rd ed., Bob Jones University Press, 2007

2)Dragons are real.

3) God used the "Trail of Tears" to bring many native ameicans to Christ
(FYI: Native ameicans were the original americans who were killed in genocide by new comer Europeans who then dominated America. According to the fundamental christians, God used the genocide to convert the few remaining Native americans to christianity lipsrsealed)

4)African needs religion
"Africa is a continent with many needs. It is still in need of the gospel…Only about ten percent of Africans can read and write. In some areas the mission schools have been shut down by Communists who have taken over the government."—Old World History and Geography in Christian Perspective, 3rd ed., A Beka Book, 2004

5.)Slave masters were nice guys
"A few slave holders were undeniably cruel. Examples of slaves beaten to death were not common, neither were they unknown. The majority of slave holders treated their slaves well."—United States History for Christian Schools, 2nd ed., Bob Jones University Press, 1991

6) The KKK was OK:
"[The Ku Klux] Klan in some areas of the country tried to be a means of reform, fighting the decline in morality and using the symbol of the cross. Klan targets were bootleggers, wife-beaters, and immoral movies. In some communities it achieved a certain respectability as it worked with politicians."—United States History for Christian Schools, 3rd ed., Bob Jones University Press, 2001
(FYI: KKK is a white supremacist organization responsible for hanging and killing black people in the US)

7) The Great Depression wasn't as bad as the liberals made it sound: "Perhaps the best known work of propaganda to come from the Depression was John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath…Other forms of propaganda included rumors of mortgage foreclosures, mass evictions, and hunger riots and exaggerated statistics representing the number of unemployed and homeless people in America."—United States History: Heritage of Freedom, 2nd ed., A Beka Book, 1996

8.) SCOTUS enslaved fetuses: "Ignoring 3,500 years of Judeo-Christian civilization, religion, morality, and law, the Burger Court held that an unborn child was not a living person but rather the "property" of the mother (much like slaves were considered property in the 1857 case of Dred Scott v. Sandford)."—American Government in Christian Perspective, 2nd ed., A Beka Book, 1997
(FYI: SCOTUS- Supreme Court of the United State. In other words, they claim that a baby in the womb of a woman should have the right to vote LOL)

9)The Red Scare isn't over yet: "It is no wonder that Satan hates the family and has hurled his venom against it in the form of Communism."— American Government in Christian Perspective, 2nd ed., A Beka Book, 1997
(FYI: Russia was the Iraq of the 1950s. America always needs an enemy. A few decades ago, the enemy was the communists. today, the enemy is the Muslims. I wonder who the enemy will be in the coming decades)

10) 10. Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson were a couple of hacks: "[Mark] Twain's outlook was both self-centered and ultimately hopeless…Twain's skepticism was clearly not the honest questioning of a seeker of truth but the deliberate defiance of a confessed rebel."—Elements of Literature for Christian Schools, Bob Jones University, 2001

"Several of [Emily Dickinson's] poems show a presumptuous attitude concerning her eternal destiny and a veiled disrespect for authority in general. Throughout her life she viewed salvation as a gamble, not a certainty. Although she did view the Bible as a source of poetic inspiration, she never accepted it as an inerrant guide to life."—Elements of Literature for Christian Schools, Bob Jones University, 2001

(in other words, non-christian authors books should be censored and abolished.)

Oh.

Christian extremism = political activism

Yet in some other religions, extremism = rioting, suicide bombing, terrorism, etc.

Gimme Christian extremism any day of the week over that of at least one other religion..

are you drunk or what?
christian extremism is no different from islamic extremism. both are predicated on hate.

secularism (separation of church/mosque and state) is the ideal political stance. This "middle ground" ideology is what christian extremists and tea partiers hate. If you believe that the koran burning sikh temple shooting, okhlahoma building bombing christian extremists are not capable of worse terrorist acts then you must be living under a rock.

besides, who else sees a link between American attack of communism during the "cold war" and today's American attack on Islam in this "war on terror"
most religions are socialist in their origins. They preach values that are antithetical to materialism. Maybe muslims weren't participating in conspicuous consumption as Americans would like. They want to open up the middle east just as they did with China and the former soviet union.
and the muslim countries are resisting the attempts at western domination.

Imagine if Christians today practice what the bible preached. Chrismas has become a commercial holiday rather than a religious one.
The most popular form of Christian doctrine is "prosperity gospel" where pastors are buying jet planes and the latest designer wear. If you wanted to see "real christians," no doubt they will be extremists in their beliefs.
and Religion is a threat to GDP growth. Especially religion that doesn't promote materialism.
That is America's problem with ISLAM

anybody that reads the news knows that the people who bombed the twin towers were trained by Americans. These so called "terrorists' were on CIA payroll for years and years brought to the US and trained here. Even when alarm bells were rung, the govt ignored all of it. They wanted the attacks to happen. There is way more to the story than we know.

Christian extremism is indeed no different from muslim extremism.

That is why the death toll from christian suicide bombers, terrorists, etc is equal to that of their islamic counterparts

you make no sense.
I have muslim friends and family members (although I'm christian myself) and know the difference between a personal religion and politics.

you seem perfectly brainwashed.
I bet you also believe that the US's ravaging wars around the world are meant to promote "democracy"
In fact, the muslims got tired of America destroying their countries since the early 20th century that they decided to fight back. I don't blame them. it's all a political war. othewrise, the so called "muslim extremists" would target actual christians. rather than american atheists. if it were a religious act, they would go after priests and bishops not political ambassadors and govt officials grin

watch this documentary:
Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky. it's available free of charge on youtube (hulu has a much better quality version also free of charge)
this will probably explain to you why there are few "christian suicide bombers"
well because we don't worship God anymore. we worship materialism. even Christmas is now a commercial, secular holiday. Most churches are preaching "prosperity gospel" According to statistics, the average american christian prays less than 5 min a day!! can you even you call these people christians? shocked most will rather spend time in front of the TV than go to church.
The same cannot be said of muslims who take their religion seriously and are willing to die for it. lol

if people take christianity more seriously, it won't be long before we will be fighting holy "crusades" (the christian version of jihad. fought at a time when church and govt was intertwined and the roman catholic Pope was a political authority). or you start seeing the revival of KKK. think about it, most christian fundamentalists in the US are also white supremacists.
This is why extremism is bad in all forms.

But thank God we have a big, secular, government to keep things in check. this is the saving grace of America as a "United" State.
not too sure about the future though. seems like the right wing, tea party people are winning. you think muslims are the only threat? think again. soon it will be blacks and latinos.

America is in deep trouble and they don't even know it. The Christian Taliban have sunk their claws deep into their political system and now almost completely control the republican party. They've managed to manufacture a fake controversy around evolution, a matter that has been settled in the scientific world for almost a century. They are gradually introducing their religious fairytales into science classrooms around the country as "intelligent design", simultaneously indoctrinating and dumbing down the next generation. Every day, they fight to weaken the constitutional separation between church and state in order to increase their influence.

It is now impossible for anyone to be elected to office without kowtowing to them. Even sensible, intelligent politicians like John Mcain have to pretend to be dumb in order not to offend them.

And the right-wing Christians have produced some of the least intelligent, most embarrassing politicians in the history of America. From George Bush to Rick Perry to Christine O'Donnell, the woman who spent half her campaign trying to convince voters that she wasn't a witch. When I watch fox news nowadays I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

How could you forget Sarah Palin?

Christian extremism will die in the USA. The republicans are losing ground more and more.

Faux news is one of my major sources. I believe the opposite of what they say. BBC and Al Jazeera are the least biased networks.

BBC messed up in the iraq war and Al Jazeera made its name when it showed the extent of America's damage in Iraq.

The best news source is the internet. One should compare all the facts from various sources and make his own informed judgement.

Fox news tells you that it is the only fair and balanced network. Too man fools believe that
