Standing5: When the police fails us, there is always the O'dua Vigilante group. . . Shame on NPF! Dudu_Negro: If you all recall back to the communique issued by Yoruba Assembly few weeks ago it clearly stated that the individual state assemblies from Kwara to Lagos should look into forming a cooperative vigilante group to secure the region. This response by the Ogun vigilante group is commendable. Donalð Genes: Well done boys atleast stepping up to the plate when our own police couldn't Sijo01: This is soooo good! Why I'm not for vigilantes seeing all manner of crimes are committed by them too Also a lack of discipline as seen by the Aluu case , I'm all out for state police And this rescue buttresses that viewpoint You cannot know a territory better than an indigene of that territory |

The vigilantees must be prosecuted for murder, illegal possession of firearms, and endangering the lives of others. There should be no room for lawlessness. These are the same people who will arm rob innocent citizens at night. We cannot legitimize or celebrate their criminality simply because the Osun speaker employed them to track his wife down. 1 Like |

acidtalk: Nigeria is certainly and definitely not ripe for State Policing. You are one of the reason why naija is not ripe for state policing....after displaying bigotry and inhumane characteristics on the other tread, here u are judging Nigerians on their inabilities to judge any issue without religion/ethnic undertone. Dude, am sorry but you are the worst HYPOCRATE on Nairaland and if u continue like this, ur life will remain unenviable to ur children and people around you at the tail end of ur existence on earth. *SMH* |

acidtalk: Nigeria is certainly and definitely not ripe for State Policing. A country where people can't judge fairly without leTtingethnic, status, and religious emotional sentiments play out is absolutely going to be the worst choice to introduce State Policing.from your above statement u most def. dont reside in nigeria, reason being that opc and local vigilante grps been widely recognised by the state govt. long tym ago and to my observation they perform a wonderful job except on some instances when they got carried away, in short in most local arears in the country they are wonderful at security. i bet in the absent of the nigeria police force u will gladly pay for vigilante to secure your suburb. |
