Moschinochimma:Do you really mean this? Just by tying his hands makes you sure that they have interrogated him and they are SURE of what they're saying. You are going to be accused falsely and punished unjustly one of these days so you will remember you said this. |
Fujiyama:What's the irony there? |
Lieutenant83:Instead of cursing the darkness, why not give light even if it's a candle? If I haven't made sense, now, make sense yourself. |
ElevationD:So, you have already concluded that the accused is guilty without fair hearing? Without following the laid down rules for disciplining errant soldiers? Meanwhile, the day you'd be accused falsely, you will forget everything you're saying here just because someone else is involved. Hmmmm! If not that everyone doesn't think like this, I would have given up on humanity just now. |
Desusi:We do not do evil that good may come? Right. But, was Jesus Christ doing evil when he flogged people in the Temple or when he was rebuking the Pharisees? Are you doing evil when you discipline your kids? Using force is not always bad. |
Tommydare:Keep living in denial. No one says that UK, US, etc are El Dorados but the japa syndrome in Nigeria is a constant proof that those places are much better in many instances. |
etrange:From saying "might", he went ahead to say the soldier should be jailed. Did your brain sieve out that part? |
Wickedfact:If he's a bullet thief, and they're sure he's a bullet thief, why can't they do the right thing by reporting him to the authorities? I know you will not answer or you find another way to defend your twisted thinking because the real issue here is not the soldier but that you know I'm Igbo. Now, you are quoting me out of context to make yourself look right. Where I talked about police robbing us is a different context from this. And where I said I'm Igbo, I was even being against an Igbo tribalist, but see how you have quoted me to look right. That's how you'll keep spending the energy you should have used for productive ventures to fuel tribal hate. No matter what you do, I will never descend to your level by mentioning any tribe. After all, there are !d!0ts like you in every tribe including mine. Only idiots stress on tribe until it's only tribe that they think. Tueh tueh tueh. Your mindset is nauseating! |
OldSkoolHeadBoy:You sound like a deeply cursed person. To be very honest with you, I can smell generational curses all over you from here. I'm only replying you so you can go and seek help. After this, I am not even going to read your putrid mentions again because your mindset is so nauseating to be honest. I know that you will not understand me because mad people don't know they are mad. But, let me just point out a few things in your accursed comments in case your sanity still remains a little: 1. What in the video shows that the soldier they are punishing is Biafran? 2. What has my comment to do with IPOB? 3. Isn't it a shame that this is all your brain could process from all I wrote up there? Ha! You are at the level of beasts in your thinking. This shows how hate has consumed the brains of many of you until you are going about empty. No wonder they say that hate destroys the hater more than the hated! If you don't change asap, hate will soon kill you. |
CJStarz:Thanks. |
For those who can't watch the video because they don't have data, this is what happened: The priest said to the congregation, "Is there anybody here who can dash me ₦5,000? If there's anybody here who can give me ₦5,000, let the person come to the altar". Many people came to the altar. He prayed for God to bless them. Then, he asked them to stay on the right side of the altar. Next, he said, "is there anybody here who is in need of ₦5,000. Please be sincere. If you know that if you get ₦5,000 now, it can change your life, please come out". Ọmọ, come see how people rush comot! He told them to stay on the left side of the altar. Then, he told those on the right: "Just pick one person on the left and give the ₦5,000 to him or her". LESSONS 1. "Blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that taketh," as Lucky Dube would sing. You can see that the Priest blessed those on the right with a special prayer but didn't bless those on the left. 2. There will be more wealthy people in Heaven than poor people. Or, can't you see how the wealthy people are on the RIGHT of the altar while the poor people are on the LEFT? 3. This priest probably doesn't realize that the Holy Spirit used him to teach these lessons so quickly. people need to learn these lessons. |
Where is Nlfpmod now? |
Reality beginning to dawn. Whoever is surprised that APC is 'winning' is naive.
|
So bad Creamcrest:Your whataboutism is nauseating. We shouldn't tolerate a slew of evils taking place here just because a bad thing happened elsewhere. |
Ikaeniyan0:Did you watch the video? Was he given a hearing? |
This is a mixture of truths, half truths, and lies. The truth is that the colonial masters arrived the coast of today's Lagos and Calabar and settled first. So, naturally, these places became their centres of operation. So, it was not the Yoruba that built the first story building in Badagry in 1845 or a post office in 1852, or Cable & Wireless Company in 1856, or CMS Grammar School in 1859, etc. It was not the Yoruba but the British. Then, because the British already had their base there, it's not surprising that they later made the place the capital of the country when it kicked off as a single unit in 1914. Once Lagos became the capital of the new country, resources were pooled from different parts of the country (example taxes) to build the place into a city. Nigerians also travelled from different parts of the country to live in Lagos and work. Many of them acquired property which helped to transform the town into a city. Why is this difficult to understand? And, for this professor to make this statement! In *1913*, Tom Jones donated *The First Public Library to Lagos* State Government.Did Lagos State exist in 1913? It shows that this is just historical revisionism (a.k.a using history to tell lies). Meanwhile, I must commend the indigenous Lagosians for their hospitable attitude which is one of the reasons the British found the place homely enough to settle unlike in Benin and Aba where they were fought. On the negative, that hospitality is the reason why a foreigner (Tinubu) became a Lord over the city. |
Behaviors like this justify Islamic use of force to enforce their doctrines. Why should you violate a preacher's physical space just because you are sure he's harmless and preaches love? Even here on Nairaland, people are quick to attack Christians. If you think you have the right to be a homosexual, why are you against my right to be a Christian preacher? Zonefree:I could transfer a million dollars to your account because of this comment. I think Christians should stop being too gentle. Even Jesus Christ flogged people in the Temple. |
For me, the real reason is Tinubu's revenge mission.
|
Ikaeniyan0:I don't know. That's why I haven't said they should jail him as you did. |
He grounded the plane to pay salaries of workers in Nigeria and West Africa and to do some other business for oil companies? Who else got his point because he's not making sense to me. |
Nlfpmod, what do you think about this news item? |
Hmmmm! Nigerian soldiers lack professionalism wallahi! Since the day I saw a drunk Nigerian soldier in front of the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, I lost hope in the Nigerian military. What they are doing here is against the military norm all over the world. There's something called espirit de corp which shouldn't let one soldier disgrace another in public no matter what. In fact, if the soldier has erred, he can't be arraigned in a civilian court because of this espirit de corp. Instead, he'd be court-martialed in a military court. If you dig into the event in this video, you will discover that it's a case of tribal hate. Ikaeniyan0:The way most Nigerians judge things is poor. Just because someone is accused by someone else doesn't make the accused guilty. In fact, in many cases, the accused are not guilty. |
TUANKU: Homeboiy:See Tinubu's newspaper celebrating the arrest of a little thief when their boss is a bigger thief and you're supporting them. Is that fair? |
Looking at this man, it's clear that hunger forced him to do this. The big thieves in Abuja and Alausa and the other 35 state capitals are the reason there are many small thieves like this. So, while we condemn theft and crime generally, we declare that the big thieves have no right to arrest the small thieves... What am I even saying? Who else agrees with me? |
Operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, September 19, arrested one Sunday Adedeji, with vandalised wire mesh used by the Lagos State Government in hedging the road, The Nation reports According to the newspaper, this was disclosed in a post via the Squad’s X handle on Friday, September 20. The RRS post is quoted as saying: "Around 11:00 p.m. yesterday, operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) patrolling Ile – Epo, Oke – Odo arrested Sunday Adedeji, 35 years old with vandalized wire mesh used by Lagos State Government in hedging the road around the area." Peacecore:You're just too low for my liking. Who's the wannabe godfather I'm supporting? |
gigabyte13:As per the bolded, the way you guys reason in that country is the reason you're suffering so much. Split which votes. Despite what an APC government is doing to you, you're counting in APC and counting out LP. Chai! Nigerians are beyond irredeemable. |
LegendHero:Depends on the crime. Every crime is bad, but some are worse. I'll rather traffic drug than mine skull and liver as I read on Nairaland today. |
jchioma:Why women get pregnant when they know there's possibility of dying in labor. Why we commute when we know there's possibility of vehicle accidents. Why we get born when we know there's possibility of dying. For every person caught, there are probably 100 not caught. |
SadiqBabaSani:In a democracy, the only betrayer is someone who betrayed the people, not someone who betrayed a godfather. |
gare:Many Nigerians lack enlightened mind. They are yet to understand what democracy means. They live with slave mindsets while accusing those who don't. That's the problem of the person you replied. |
