Been a best man before '95...and it came with free correct armani suit and brogue shoes from yankee. As a college student at the time, of course I was happy to do anything...I even smile pass the groom sef

We don't do marriage in my area,except naming ceremony. Those girls in my area no sabi marriage,except make them carry belle. So don't know much about it.

I ve once served as best man to my best friend actually.
Thank goodness I can boast/bet with this couple since we (3 of us) ve been friends. Thus, I ve this influence on them both, which was visible even from their traditional wedding till the wedding proper.

My duties?
Before and on the wedding day:
I help in planning the wedding, running around, making choices, remind her of things she forgets. Then take care of her, make sure she doesn't stress herself much, remind her to eat and rest when necessary etc. In fact, she owns me for these 2 days, and she is permitted to boss me around.

Who buys my chief bridesmaid dress? I do.

After the wedding:
Its my duty to help her be the best wife she can be by not giving her the wrong piece of advise if she ever confides in me.
If I see her taking the wrong path that I know will jeopardise her marriage, I will call her to order. Etc.

These are what I have done for my friends, and I'm about to do again, and they are what I'd expect from my chief when my own time comes.

Oh dat reminds me, I did play a role of a grooms men dis last saturday, it was nice, we were all given free well designed Italian suit and black shoe to match, it was nice anyway, frm church to reception ground, men to those bride's maid ladies were sweet....lolz it was a normally toasting thing.....lol

I have actually played a best man role before but I do not think I played my role right compared to many times that I have been one of the groom's men. I think the reason why I couldn't really play the role as expected were because: my friend wasn't working at the time which I never really supported and thus, I couldn't put my best in the role. Anyways, today he is working and they are doing pretty well.
