There's nothing wrong with it to my knowledge. I'm the eldest sister and second eldest cousin. If my juniors want me in their weddings, I'll be there. If they marry before me, they'll be in my wedding if I have one. As far as I'm concerned, bridesmaids and groomsmen are people close to the bride and groom who are handpicked to be a part of their special day. One doesn't have to be single to qualify. 4 Likes |

Are there any set in stone rules? I don't think so. My married cousin was the maid (matron) of honor at her sisters wedding. I've seen many married bridesmaids. Whatever floats your boat. It's your wedding. An important question to ask is what is the purpose of having bridesmaids? If I want one of my really good friends to be on my train but she is married, should I exclude her? I will not. I don't see what being married has to do with being a bridesmaid. 1 Like |
