are you trying to prevent pregnancy or std?

by oyibo drugs, then i assume you mean oral and injectable contraceptives. leaving you with these options 1. co-it-us interruptus popularly known as withdrawal method) and of course 2. the good old rhythm method that involes tracking your cycle and knowing when you are 'safe'. None of these even are as reliable sha because they are more difficult to use effectively....
Then of course, condoms, the new femidoms, diaphragms and IUD's(intra uterine devices). they are not drugs, but they are oyibo methods

Both the rhythm method and withdraw method have been proven ineffective. A. Women don't all ovulate on a 28 day cycle, some have been observed to ovulate up to 5 times in A month. Eggs do not release the same day of the cyclein all women and it can differ from month to month in the same woman. You can get pregnant at any point of your cycle including during your period. B. Men release low concentrations of sperm in their "Precun" starting from the erection to climax. Even one sperm can knock u up

not ineffective, just less effective (failure rate of up to 25% depending on use) and the estimating of a we woman's ovulation date is not based on counting, its based on temperature, there is usually a temperature spike when a woman is ovulating.
Re: Family Planning Method by navygrl: 7:47pm On Nov 18, 2012
Correct but the spike is small and needs to be mapped to account for stress temp changes. Most women ovulate between 1 and 3 times per cycle, sperm can live up to 7 days in the uterus as well. Even if your ovulation is properly charted and you only ovulate once per cycle you can still have a stress ovulation and get pregnant. If you ovulate 2 or more times per cycle this method will NOT work. Those countries with advanced medical understanding have long abandoned this method.
