My story continues...From the necessity of VIN checks, to the cost of clearing vehicles, even to the shipping company that will guarantee non tampering and lower cost...not to talk of maintenance tips...I was simply captivated. I must take some time out to say bravo to every one of you adding value to this auto section. Now lets get back to my ride.
There were several offers online on the vehicle i wanted (2004,2005 Toyota highlander with certain options) but i was thrilled with the pre-order idea...kind of seems cool to me knowing the car was in 'Yankee' at the time you're paying...was like 'point and kill' kind of feeling. So when suddenly i saw an offer on NL with a price range within my lean purse, I sent a mail immediately to several NL auto dealers whom I've listed down based on their contributions in the threads, asking if they can beat this offer on their pre-order program. Some responded, some did not(I really don't know why), and some mails returned to me as undelivered, even after reconfirming the address and re-posting. Among the lot that replied, were some with vague offers, some with Pics that look too beautiful to be real followed with statements like 'you can get this at the sum of ...', but one response, just one response caught my attention. It did not come with pictures neither did it come with offers...It simply acknowledged receipt of my mail, thanked me for dropping, promised to beat the offer and will send me offers if only i respond to this mail. That was classy stuff...verify the authenticity of the customer, get his attention to you and then make your offer...good marketing, guys I'll leave out some things so that i don't expose company secret o. However this response came from no other than CalculusX, and that was the beginning of my excitement....

In continuation... Of course i replied immediately to his mail, confirming of my readiness to look at his offers with due consideration. Without wasting time, this man sent me about six (6) different offers each representing certain categories ranging from, quite a distance below my expectation in condition and price, to quite a distance above my expectation in... price alone of course (who no like better thing),all with pics, details and carfax reports,I guess he was trying to place a finger on what my taste and strength really was. By the time he got my comments on his offers, we were already on the same page on what I'll like, and then the real work commenced...the search for my ride. I must say that i was very picky and that's very difficult to handle if you want to seal a deal, however my guy Calculusx was remarkably patient throughout the period, never for once did i sense desperation in either his mails or his voice. As a matter of fact, his right choice of words, easy to deal with personality, dedication to duty were so captivating that I felt safe to do business with a Nigerian from a distance, for the first time...
