Some people call it the parapet, others call it gutter roof design, But in general, it is that beautifully shaped support that bears the roof to enhance aesthetics. We are going to build this on a bungalow project which has gone above the lintel stage, now awaiting the roofing support.

We have taken the dimensions of the house and have started buying materials in readiness for this work. This type of work consumes a lot of materials and care should be taken that only experienced hands can handle this job to avoid mistakes as this is the most visible part of a house just below the roof.

I am moving to start purchasing wood and other materials to deliver at this site now. We already have most materials there but we are bringing in more today. The curving for the wooden planks that will form the parapet will be done today. More pictures later today.

My brother, the names plenty, but what do you think we builders should call it. I think we should find our own local name of describing it.

So I went to a market where I can select the right quality of wood for this work.

and I ensured that the right design which will match the house is marked, and is being drawn for further processing

We already shifted some wood into this site this evening, and will bring in more by tomorrow. We intend to start full works by Wednesday this week. More pictures as we move along.

Some have talked about the flammable danger in PVc, especially in kitchens. But be ready to maintain your POP with paint to prevent it turning black gradually.
