These are pictures of Soweto, I think. When I went there last year, the place reminded me of low cost housing estates in Nigeria. Although, the facilities and infrastructures at Soweto are far more developed. Guluva, I saw a picture (posted at 9:09) that looks like an informal settlement. Is it an informal settlement? Nigerians should note how the smooth the roads and pavement are. This is the minimum standard our so-called governors should be doing.

all4naija: we can agree on so many things but not on crimes. It is clear not all South African crimes are reported as well, not in the slimmest of chances as it is a tourists receiving nation whose government wouldn't like them to be on the news or reported by local newspapers. Nigeria has one of the freest news media in the continent despite shortcomings in their reporting.

South Africa is overrated socially - that is my view!
