This is a good development, but not a licence for pple to continue their criminal action, whether there is hard labour or not, a prison remains a prison and an ex-convict remains an ex-convict.
May God help us all, and deliver us from d wrath of d law.

Hard labour doesn't change a criminal, it hardens him. They should focus on rehabilitation and reintegration.

baby_123: Prisoners should do hard labour for the FG. Any labour they need. Afterall they are using tax money to keep them there. So they have to be useful to the society. They can make license plates, federal garbage bins and other things instead of FG spending billions to purchase these things. It helps them acquire skills and makes them useful when they get out. Prisoners should not be kept idle, otherwise the prisons will just be full. Who no wan chop and no work?
that's prison labour, different from hard labour.
