If the North isn't ready to present a credible candidate like Buhari, Ribadu etc.. They should forget 2015!

If they bank on some "it's our turn" attitude to get them the presidency in 2015, the SW will vote for another Southerner even if it means Jonathan again.

People don't want to hear that it is our turn mantra again! Jonathan was a favourite candidate in the last election in south because of the attitude of the North towards him when Yaradua got sick.

The situation became a case of North vs South and people already viewed the North as imperialist who think only they deserve to lead Nigeria. This caused so much US VS THEM sentiments which cost Buhari the Election.

Had the north easily allow Jonathan to take over after Yaradua got ill, the sentiment of North vs South wouldn't have brought Jonathan to power. To make matters worst, Jonathan capitalized on that since people already pitied him for the way Turai behaved to him swinging more emotions against the North. When Jonatha stated he had no shoes, situation became a case of "Look how they are treating the poor man". And in Nigeria, the poor majority don't want to hear that one rich man is directly oppressing a poor man. The rich man will be hated!! Jonathan became the poor man and the North became the rich man! Emotions were intense!!

If the North stop their entitlement attitude, people will not take it as North vs South which will always bring the south to win!

Just my 2cents for their political think tanks!

Olumide, I don't think any sort of entitlement 'attitude' from the North can make GEJ retain the Presidency in 2015. He has simply been a very woeful, callous, highly ineffective and hideously corrupt President to the extent Nigerians, if still a sane people, have no choice but to seek alternatives. He is an embarrassment who falls far below what Sao Tome should even seek to be a district commissioner let alone President.

I would even expect the PDP ,callous as the Party is, to read the mood of the Nation and Africa by showing more ambition to deny a total empty barrel , i.e GEJ, the chance to embarrass Nigeria further. Anything else, even with some displaying 'born to rule' arrogance, just means Nigerians deserve their suffering as a politically unsophisticated people always happy to cut their nose to spite their face.

Look around you. Positive minimal standards are coming to stay throughout Africa that means mediocrities like GEJ don't get the chance to wreak havoc via gaining positions they simply do not deserve. If GEJ remains beyond 2015, don't blame the North. Blame Nigerians because a 2015 win for GEJ would confirm we are a mentally sick and aberrant people who cannot learn from personal hardship and all that is going on around us in the wider world.
