FEDERAL HIGH COURT ORDERS
NIGERIA TO PAY N5, 000.00
FINE TO BIAFRANS FOR
ATTENDING COURT This is the
sort of story you never thought
you will read from Nigeria
where today at the Federal High
Court Owerri with the
Honourable Justice Shuaibu
presiding, Nigeria was fined for
delaying due legal process. Two
motions were before the Judge.
The two issues considered
today was the motion filed by
the Nigerian Government asking
for an extension of time to enter
appearance and serve BILIE
HUMAN RIGHST INITIATIVE
representing the Indigenous
Peoples of Biafra with their
counter affidavit and preliminary
objection. Nigeria asked for an
order of the court deeming their
processes to have been duly
filed and served on the
Indigenous People of Biafra.
Lawyers for BILIE HUMAN RIGHTS
INITIATIVE did not oppose their
motion but asked the court to
award costs against Nigeria for
coming late. The court awarded
N5, 000.00 in favour of the
Biafrans. Therefore, in this first
round of the battle, Nigeria shall
pay N5,000 to the Biafrans for
coming late to defend
themselves. The matter was
adjourned to the 28th of March
2013 to allow both parties time
to prepare for the substantive
hearing. Next was a motion
filed by the Biafrans to amend a
typographical error in their
originating summons where the
typist omitted some words
contained in the certificate of
incorporation of Bilie Human
Rights Initiative, the human
rights organization representing
indigenous people of Biafra.
Nigerian lawyers did not oppose
this motion just as BILIE HUMAN
RIGHTS INITIATIVE did not
oppose the application by
Nigeria.
BILIE HUMAN RIGHTS INITIATIVE
lawyers then applied for an
adjournment to give the
Biafrans enough time to
produce more evidence and
reply to the issues raised by the
Nigerians in their counter
affidavit and preliminary
objection. Nigerian lawyers
objected but said that the
Biafrans should pay costs for
delaying the case if the matter
should be adjourned.
Furthermore, the Nigerians
asked for the permission of the
court to amend their counter
affidavit. The court refused and
overruled them and granted an
adjournment to 28 March 2013.

Biafra vs Nigeria again at OWERRI Federal High Court on the 28 March 2013

LATEST REPORT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA OWERRI.NEXT HEARING IS ON THE 30TH OF APRIL 2013
The ongoing case between the federal government of Nigeria and the indigenous people of Biafra represented by Bilie Human Rights Initiative, Suit No. FHC/OW/CS/102/2012 in the Federal High Court of Nigeria in the Owerri Judicial Division against the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Attorney-General of the Federation seeking to enforce the rights of indigenous people of Biafra to self-determination and independence,on the 28th of March was once more adjourned to the 30th of April 2013 as the application for adjournment from the law firm representing the federal government of Nigeria on health grounds was unopposed by the legal team of Biafra , our lead lawyer, Emeka A.C.Emeka,of Mekadof chambers London, solicitor of England and Wales supported by Barr. Chukwunta from Aba,Chief Debe Odimegwu Ojukwu and Olaeto .O.Uawazie did not object to the application in line with the act of God .The trial judge ,Hounorable S.M.Shuaib who exhibited humours that endeared him to the audience in the court galary said that the legal team of Biafra is very intimidating and formidable and that even if the Nigerian lawyers fail to appear in the next hearing, he will grant Biafran lawyers the opportunity to hear their suit.
After the court proceeding, Debe Odimegwu Ojukwu said he has volunteered to join the legal team so as to continue the agitation for the soveriegn state of Biafra from where his father stopped in 1970 through the rule of law.
At the end of the case, the entire indigenous people of Biafra led by Dr Dozie Ikedife , Ikenga ndigbo and other members of the elders council of indigenous people of Biafra drove on convoy to the new site of the indigenous peoples secreteriate along Port Harcourt road Owerri,where the Ikenga addressed the crowd numbering over 2000 , represent the indigenous people of Biafra from all parts of the world.Also present at the court was comrade Arinze Awogu, the publisher of eastern pilot and the national publicity secretary of Bilie Human Rights Initiative.
Come one come all to the next hearing on the 30th of April.

Liar, stop misinforming people, virtually all Igbos that have money in the banks withdrew their money just before the start of the war.

The 20 pounds flat rate was part of the reconciliation programs, given to BIAFRAN men(not just Igbo men) to encourage them to restart economically and never a repayment for bank deposits... too much of propaganda to gain sympathy !

First, I am happy that you agreed that their was abandoned property saga after the war. I am also happy that you said there wasn't an issue of such in yoruba land, but be informed that a yoruba man spearheaded the 20 pounds policy just to make sure igbos lose all the money they have in Nigerian banks before the war. My question to you is, if we have one Nigeria, is it right for you to forcefully take over the properties of other Nigerians?
