Look at this one trying to Insult Fulbe....
Ohhh, so now, Nomadic Fulani dont pray 5 times a day, and as such are worse Muslims, than who ? those who pray 5 times a day, take Islam to the Extreme, and end up trying to blow out peoples' intestines with grenades at bus stops, including those of their Own people??
Just shut up, if you have nothing to say... Im guessing you are one of those small Kado Ethnic groups in the north, uhn

My people showed yours the Pathway of Islam, Deal with it!!! if we didnt come by, U would probably still be engaging in human sacrifices by now.

You are a shameless propagandist and liar... you didn't bring Islam, you only radicalised it....Usmanu Dan Fodio should be proud of you with your brand of Islam. You left every Nigerian thinking Muslims are inhuman, senseless bunch of blood craze nitwits. No thanks to Fulani and their murderous impulse. You people are vengeful, bitter, evil, ungrateful and very self-centred

I feel you bro. i really do.

People should think twice before making rash statements. I pray to the Gods that the Nomadic Lifestyle of the FUlani prevails forever. their culture, identity and existence survives on it.

Nobody is challenging their right to exist and move freely, but they need to understand that where their rights end, another man's right begins. They need to extend that courtesy to their different host communities. Fulanis everywhere in Yorubaland have committed various level of atrocities and they never get punished. And if at all they get to the police station, they bribe the police with proceeds from two cows and they are left off the hook, however they hardly ever get caught; exactly how do you track homeless people?

Rural communities all over Oyo state are constantly under threat from these marauding folks.

Bororojo, your people need to own to their crimes, their has to be justice for peace to reign. There are far too many incidence of Fulanis going on rampage in their host communities...I can give you list of places in Awe,Agwatashi, Doma, Jenkwe, Obi, Assakio, Ajaragu, all in Nasarawa state where fulanis have killed people.

They world is evolving, the Fulanis have refused to evolve...

no right now what we need is a good round of proper planning so that all parties are satisfied. there is no doubt that the original grazing lands of the FUlani and Touareg are drying out aswell. we must take all factors into consideration. this is the Govt and the rulers job.

You dont know what You are talking about.... Usman dan Fodio has NOTHING to do with extremist Islam, I can remember clearly when the whole Boko Haram Fiasco started in Northern Nigeria, whereas Uthman 6ii foduye's reforms, was over centuries ago. Does that add up to you??
The first full scale Religious/Ethnic crisis in Nigeria was that at Kotangora, in 195X cant really be exact now, but it is well within modern history.... U cant be that Dumb now, can you

Usman Dan Fodio Have his equivalents, in other parts of West Africa, like Tall in Senegal, and yet you hear nothing like Extremist Islam in those parts......use your heads, and figure out the Cause of Islamic extremism in Naija, instead of attributing it to a man that died centuries ago [Rodhi Allahu Annhu}

The same way Hausa Clans Like Gobir, Rano, Zazzau Etc faught one another, before the coming of Fulbe, is the same way Fulani fought Hausa clans, only the prior was as a result of probably things like land dispute, expansionism etc, and the Later was claimed to be religious.
Go check the history, the biggest enemies of Pagan Hausa, are other fellow Muslim Hausa, not Fulani.

I agree there was rivalry between the Bakwai but atleast it was much less and mainly personal feuds ,etc.

And We were actually slowly returning back to Paganism and Hausa Culture was strong back then. The Boori were in the royal courts itself.

anywas whats done is done. now we have to think forward.

You are not just living in denial and also cannot hold very intelligent discussion without resolving to name calling. Anyway let me educate you;

According to Kano Cronicles which is the earliest written historical record of the Hausas and translated from Arabic to English by Palmer,Islam first came to northern Nigeria in the reign of Yaji of Kano in 14th century. The wangarawa trading scholars like Abdur Rahman Zaiti, kebe, Mutuku,Yakasai, Shehu, Auwula and Imam of Madatai from Mali spread Islam in the region by preaching and practical display of the beauty, elegance and excellence of Islam. It was around this period Muhammad Kurau of Katsina embraced Islam and became the first Muslim king.

This is to debunk your claim of bringing Islam to the North, you are a liar!

Now on bringing violence to Islam as practised in Northern Nigeria,

Dan Fodio started the campaign of forceful conversion of Hausaland to his brand of Islam,His forces seized Alkalawa (Gobir capital) in October 1808, killing Sarkin Yunfa, even though Yunfa was a muslim. His jihadist army dispersed people from Gobir to Tibiri in Niger Republic. Same fate befell the ruler of Katsina, Lapai,Kano, Agaie, Zuba in Abuja...the campaing of calumny started by Usmanu Dan Fodio to forcefully convert people to his brand of Islam continues today in BH modus operandi, killing people who disagree with their view of Islam.

Or how come we have Fulanis ruling in all these places? Is it not by force of sword? Feel free to refute my claims.

What does not concern you, does not pain you. the fact is nomadic fulani have sufferrred a lot for the past 10-15years in the hands of their host communities, specially in the Plateau axis (the UN has lots of reports on that). A lot of atrocities have been committed by those host community. Were were you all then?
These people were pushed to the wall to re-act. Unfortunately for those host communities that thought the fulanis were weak, when fulanis start a war, they fight to the finish, just like the jews. Let us stop raining blames/insults without proper understanding of the situation.

Someone said, the world has evolved, but the fulanis refused to evolve. Please go check your facts well before commenting. Thousands of fulanis are out there in cities, doing one thing or another apart from cattle rearing. Have other tribes in Nigeria dropped off their ancestral way of life. I believe we could find hunters in every part of the world. Y didnt they stop that practise since we have now evolved? Y is UNESCO saving cultural sites for future generations? going forward does not mean parting with your culture.

I have witnessed Fulani atrocities in Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, and Nassarawa. What I have written are things I witnessed. As a corp member in Nassarawa state. I served in Obi Local Gov. close to Lafia, we had to endure constant threat of armed robbery attack by armed Fulani herdsmen along Obi-Awe road, very close to Agwatashi. Anyone living around those axis can bear me witness, this happened as recent as 2008. In fact, Corp members from my Place of primary assignment were robbed and beaten to stupor by Fulani herdsmen, dressed as Corper, they asked them to produce their guns. One of them had her leg broken and the girl had to be taken to JUTH to be treated cause Dalhatu Araf Specialist in Lafia couldn't handle her.

Fulanis still robbed people as recent as December 31, 2012 along Oyo-Iseyin express road in Oyo State, a worker with Union Bank in Iseyin was shot dead.

It is nauseating when people who are educated and supposedly enlightened chose to go the tribal way.

Fulanis are existential threat to farmers all over Nigeria, and lately they have joined forces with other Nigerians to rob commuters, even on roads as busy as Lagos-Ibadan express way

Are talking abt arm robberry? I dont think so. I do not think d is a single tribe in nigeria who does hav at least member involved in arm robbery. Dat is a common phenominon to all of us.
Do u know y fulani in benue state call d tifs and oda tribes "mun shi"? Cos everytim d r searchin for deir missin cows, d indegenes would reply"mun shi",meanin d hav eaten d cow.
Fulani r not known for lookin for trouble. In d whole of west africa. D r rather known for retaliating. D r not forgivin. U kill one of deir, d can 20yrs to revenge.

'Bororojo' can only refute your flawless account with sentiments, not with facts.

And, to add to your facts-based comment: Keffi was also one of the fulani jihadists' camp; from where they crossed the river Niger and subdued the Igalas of Idah. They also attempted to establish another camp in Doma, and attempted to raid Keana, in the present Nassarawa state, but were chased out by the Tivs. The Tivs effectively checked their southward advance. It was Lord Lugard's Indirect Rule System, which adopted the emirate model of governance over ethnic nationalities in the north, that once again paved the way for fulanis to continue with their islamisation campaign, but this time, with subtler approach: members of any ethnic group who converted to Islam or pledge unquestioned loyalty to the Caliphate, irrespective of their insignificant numerical strength or level of economic contribution to the British/fulani govt of northern Nigeria, were greatly favoured with appointments; like district heads and tax collectors. This divide-and-rule tactic was clearly a 'vengeful crusade' against the 'recalcitrant' tribes of the region, particularly the Tivs, and a few others, who bluntly refused to subject their independent ways of life to Othman Danfodio's caliphs. It is not out of place to postulate that the Fulbe domineering ego is merely playing out its vengeful predilections through their cattle herders...,to the admiration and 'silent' support of their elites in the townships. Otherwise how could one expect the entire fulani race with professors in various fields of human endeavour not to be aware of the fact that the future of nomadic animal grazing in the modern world is already in its 'death throes'?

Let Dangote, in conjunction with governors and other leaders of the north, invest the 300 Billion naira he intends to invest in a fertilizer plant in Edo state in establishing ranches across the country, particularly the core north, and wait to see if his investment will not bring about peace and also triple his profit in the nearest future. There is a palpable silence of conspiracy on the part of Fulani politicians, retired generals and wealthy business tycoons over these killings by their nomadic kith and kins, killings and burnings that are as deadly as boko haram; if not more.

Bororojo might wish to present his differing views.
