Makes absolutely no sense at all. God said every thing he made was good, but the fault was Adam's for listening to the devil? What a contradiction.

Your question is logical .
The true answer is that even when you correct a child for wrong doing on minor mistakes you would not only correct the child on issues of direct disobedience to your instructions,especially after being told of the consequence ,but purnish the child as well The correction is the Lord Jesus christ and the purnishment is hell fire for all those that show that they will not take to corrections, but refusing to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal lord and saviour and also keep his commandment.
Disobedience in the spiritual world is like a seed .It would germinate and bring forth fruit .That is why the only option is to kill the seed and uproot the tree .
That is the reason we have have to kill any sin in our lives.

Your description of God on your post doesn't fit the one tht created Adam: Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient. If he wasn't testing Adam where was he when Eve was being tempted? And how can a God of that description make a utterance of this : Gen:3 vs 22. Then the lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever".
