I have no empirical proof but I surmise that more than 90% of nairalanders have alternate handles. Some created these alternate handles because they were banned, or no longer liked their handles, or wanted to take on a new personality, or they forgot their password.

Any active member most likely has happened upon a popular accusation leveled against so many popular NLers---that of possessing a similar persona to another NLer. So many other alternate handles, however, lack subtlety in disguising who the original member is. This is usually the case not because the member is foolish but because that was the intent.

I created this thread because NLers are celebrating an imminent watershed moment: the road to 1 million members. But most of us are aware these will not be 1 million unique members.

Moreover, I have always been curious about other folks' alternate handles, so I will be honored if NLers oblige me by following my lead in willingly revealing, at least, one of their other handles. To get the ball rolling, mine are:
