StarFlux: O_o can you translate that word for word? I think he meant to write 'awon lo nisoro'. I figured that much out when he said he heard the phrase in a song |
Re: Yorubas, Please Help Me Translate These Words. by Havilah93(m): 4:17pm On Feb 07, 2013 |
Eze Promoe: is the word gotten from kas' song 'fimile baby fimile...?' if so then the phrase (as used in the song) is: he started by saying ''ta lo n soro? Emi l'on soro.....kas b omo olowo n soro...'' then the phrase ''emi l'on soro..'' may be what you are refering to. It means I am the one speaking/talking. |

StarFlux: Nigba wo ni o nlo? |
Re: Yorubas, Please Help Me Translate These Words. by StarFlux: 5:18pm On Feb 08, 2013 |
Havilah93:Nigba ti mo pada bo, o ni binu - hmm, what I meant was: When I came back, he was angry. Is it not correct? Or is it nbinu? I'm confused about n and ni. And nigba wo ni o nlo - when are you going? Should the ni here be dropped? |
Re: Yorubas, Please Help Me Translate These Words. by Ilekokonit: 7:14pm On Feb 08, 2013 |
StarFlux: When I came back, he was angry. Should be :- Nigba ti mo pada de (or pada bo), nse (or nise) lon binu When are you going? Should be :- Nigba wo lon lo. You are right the ni should be dropped. |
Re: Yorubas, Please Help Me Translate These Words. by StarFlux: 11:38pm On Feb 08, 2013 |

StarFlux: Nigba ti mo pada bo, o ni binu - hmm, what I meant was: When I came back, he was angry. Is it not correct? Or is it nbinu? I'm confused about n and ni. when i came back, he was angry - nigba ti mo de, o n binu.....correct. Nigba wo ni o n lo? You dont need to drop the ni here. I will still come up with the detailed explanation for you later. |

zpakln: how about this..... when i came back, he was angry - Nigba ti mo pada de, oun binu they are both correct except the 'u' you are putting with the 'oun'. It should be 'o n' |
