I am begining to think that even majek is not Worth any help as you can see those following him in the weed duo fun thing should do that, but i bet they are just the latest bunch of church rats they lost thier purse while they were high. Birds of a feather. If When he was suppose to give mentoring and morale to well meaning people he ended up mis directing them why should the public help him. Majek Fashek

I grew up listening to send down the rain at birthday parties and ceremonies. It was even believed by some that his song had majic powers to actually make rain fall. He was nicknamed 'The Rainmaker'. Beautiful young man who was filled with talent. A chart topper. To the likes of other local Reggea musicians like Ras Kimono & Oritz Wiliki, he was the height to attain. He headlined shows in the U.S and Europe. A true rasta man.

That said, I'm sorry to annouce that this legendary Rasta decided to walk in the path of the Babylonians. He left the herb and embraced the rock. Weed did not do this to Majek, Cigarettes did not do this to Majek either, crack cocaine and meth was what ruined him. Today, he is a shadow of his former self. He is even said to have some mental issues as it stands.

I am very open to contributing my fair share to rehabilitate Majek. If for no other reason, I'm ready to help as a form of showing appreciation for the joy and happiness his music brought to a certain generation which I belong to. However, to help a crack addict, the last thing anybody wants to do is throw more money at him. Majek needs to recognize that he needs help and ask for it. He needs to check himself into a proper rehab clinic. I would have loved to send him off to the U.S where there are specialist clinics for rehabilitating druggies, but I doubt the U.S embassy would grant a druggie access into the United States without government backing gand assurance that he would not abscond and go back to drugs (which is readily available in the U.S).

I would love nothing more than to see this legend rise again from the ashes back into the limelight. Maybe even drop 1 more hit album and do a last world tour before dropping the guitar (hopefully to chants of encore from the audience). I would love to see you walk into a concert looking clean and fresh to chants of 'send down the rain'.

We love you Majek.

But please no that only you can help yourself now, all we can do is support you.

I suggest you go and research the herb and find out how it became illegal today. Find out how Hemp and Alcohol were illegal (the bootlegging era) and how today alcohol which kills more people than drug overdoes, car accidents and even cigarettes is still legal and Hemp which doesnt isnt legal.

Don't look far;Fela was the Nigeria father of ganja and we saw his descent from a sound man to a rabble rousing neither here-nor-there deviant and out cast.Fela single handedly ruined many lives by propagating your ganja. Three of my neighbours in the village ran mad due to hemp smoking. Is it for nothing that hemp is a banned substance?? Keeping smoking your 'natural herb' but just don't invite others to perdition.
