Getting a visa to Baku when i came here like 3 years ago was easy, but now because of their new policies since 2011, it is difficult. On getting a job, u'l have to learn the language for at least 4-5 months if u already a professional or got a "recognized university degree" Professional Cert (CIMA, ACCA, Engineering, Customer service with years of experience in ur related field)or 9 months if u intend to study for undergraduate.

Please is Nigerian university degree certificate recognized over there?

It's something you can do yourself, get a visiting visa to Egypt then go to Azerbaijan embassy in Egypt to apply for your study permit. It is straight forward

Semester commence by February, April, September and October, but for international student u can come 5months before semester starts..This is to make sure u get a feel of the country and pick-up the language which will help u here.

Does anyone has an idea of whether or not I can stay behind in Azerbaijan after the scholarship? I hear the immigration policies are very strict and I wouldn't want to complete my studies there and have to be coming back down to Nigeria.
