Though personally, I ve gained lots with my 11days plus on NL.

My question is this: is it wise to invest soo much time on Social Network where U gain little or nothing (financial wise) or better still, invest soo much time on social network acquiring knowledge with little/nothing to show for it?

it depends on why you are in the site daily some people are for fun while some are for useful research purpose, some with dubious mindset.

As for me, the time spent on NL is worth it.
Everything is not all about physical cash.
I first registered on NL 2006, that was when I got knowledge of shares, met stock broker and bought shares, that contact am still maintaining till date.
I met friends as in good friends that I later got to meet physically.
I learnt a lot on my career through a special forum dedicated on it here on NL
When I met my hubby, there was an outstanding issue but I got useful solutions when I came here.
Now am starting my personal business based on the contact and knowledge I got on NL.
Although I left the forum for some time due to some circumstances, any time I come to NL
I learn one thing or the other.
Here, you learn the good and the bad, you meet good and bad people
It all depends on you and your mind set.

Tee13; you ve really gained lots (I mean lots) from your soujourn on NL. I believe we share d same story as the venture I want to dabble into is as a result of knowledge and info that I acquired here on NairaLand.

Well worth it for me. I have been living outside of Nigeria since 2006 and Nairaland is a sure way for me to keep updated with things happening in my Fatherland. If I was told to pick between Facebook and Nairaland today, I'd go with Nairaland. There is no dull moment here and every minute spent on Naiaraland is a sure minute of additional update and knowledge.

most doesnt mean the person has been there overing from one page to anoda, some are using mobile phones which rarely logs out, some re tablets/blackberries and so on, so they may be on for as much as the subscriptions re active.
as for me its worth it anyway..

Its really worth it! I realised I moved around NL in stages: first it was in the Education section when I was seeking admission then to NYSC section..

Nairaland is a part of me now as it has helped in information giving.

There are some persons on Nairaland I can bet are jobless...

I can't imagine myself Nairalanding 24/7 when I should be working...

I think it worths it, I get up 2date info on nairaland n share info on my intrestd topics tht ar like hubby 2me. International afairs is my most intrest. Peoples ideas about american forein policy n invetion on libya, syria, iraq n all tht. Even football. When am busy or at work is as if am watchin a life match tru nairaland.

Well, as for moi, I come here for news updates in general, in entertainment, in politics etc. Nairaland is basically my hub for information, as I am a very curious person, I go from thread to thread, comment to comment to see different views and perspectives of different sorts of people(the normal, abnormal, skeptic, the cynic). Nairaland is the next best thing that happened to Nigeria after the Super Eagles winning AFCON 2013
