This is a great feat for Lagos State. I can think of anywhere in Nigeria that currently runs an automated vehicle cleaning system. |

Finally! This is what we've been calling for. I'll add the pics to my collection. Of course the are hundreds, if not thousands of car-washes in Lagos (many are automated. Just walk into any petrol station and you'll see one), but this particular car wash is for the BRT bus system. The BRT system has been praised by many, but in recent years, some citizens (including me) have complained that the buses are dirty and unkempt. I believe that the commissioning of this car wash is a response to our complaints. I have one question though, will it affect the adverts on the sides of the buses? |

So na bus washing plant them they commission for Lagos now??When other people are commissioning airports et al?? Naaaa! I used to respect Fashola and hold him in very high regard but with this?? Haba!! To think that this is the man who said he goes on Project inspection to fix problems on site! What problem does a governor go to fix in a car wash?? Eko oni baje oooh!! And by the way if Fashola thinks he has no more work to do in Lagos, better than commissioning car washes, he should seek to add more BRT routes and make Lagos more international. The city is still a mess. In less than 10 years, 2 mayors of Bogota, Colombia changed the city from a drug infested shooting range to a world class sustainable city. Fashola and Lagos still looks like a dumpsite. Below is a picture of Bogota's BRT. Thats what a BRT system should look like. 2 Likes |

billante: What about the interior of the buses? how is that place going to be kept clean? They have women who clean the interior between trips. The problem has always been with the exterior. |

Constructing a washing plant to keep BRT buses clean is certainly a welcome development but gathering dignitaries, journalists and Lagosians to cut tape is certainly the dumbest thing to do,haba must every tiny projects be commissioned with circus show. The last time few ancient streetlights were installed at Ikordu road Fashola gathered dignitaries and cameramen to cut red tape,no wonder Clinton was invited to lay foundation of Eko Atlantic, imagine who will be invited when a Eko Atlantic is finally completed. Chei my people are shameless with all this plenty showmanship sha. |

Seriously, i don't see this as an achievement. I just imagine tens of buses lining up to be washed on just one automated vehicle washing machine . Anyway, lagosians will see this as an achievement because most of them haven't seen such in their entire life. 1 Like |

berem: Seriously, i don't see this as an achievement. I just imagine tens of buses lining up to be washed on just one automated vehicle washing machine . Anyway, lagosians will see this as an achievement because most of them haven't seen such in their entire life. If building infrastructure needed to protect and maintain public property is not an achievement, then what is an achievement in your world? Is achievement a situation where your average and incompetent leaders sit on their hands while tax payers properties decay and waste away because of your lousy maintenance culture? Is this your own sad idea of achievement? Btw, achievement is what you set out to achieve and accomplish no matter how big or small it is. It's just pathetic that you people are used to incompetent and do nothing leaders that when you see the ones actually doing something for q change, it looks strange and unusual to you because you've been basterdized so much with incompetency and that's all you know and used to. And since lagosians haven't seen anything like this in their life, can you show any in your area, village or anywhere in Nigeria in fact? I know you can't so stop spewing disgruntled rubbish that you can not back up. What a sad shame. |
