justwise:You dey mind am? Shebi na "Lesson" those lowly ranked schools be, no be University. Mr. B.Eng from KNUST....looool. Is it the B.Eng that's deceieving you? Me sef get B.Tech. As Justwise said, graduating from a top-flight school doesn't guarantee you a job. Feel free to apply to top ranked schools, but don't critisize people who don't! imperiouxx:The guy na comedian! . Me sef wan go MIT, infact everybody on this thread must go to either UMBC, HARVARD, MIT, CALTECH OR STANFORD! Nothing but Ivy league oo. |

stan-ogb:Guy, why would you allow your school to send the verification themselves? Obviously, they sent it through regular mail..(And you know what that means) Go back to your school, plead with them and explain your situation. Tell them to re-issue another verification and this time tell them to give it to you to send through courier. If they won't, give them money for courier and ensure they send it in your presence |

sahlau: Wich is the best btw WES & ECE for transcript evaluation, need advice asap WES is much better! Please go for WES. ECE reduces GPA. Someone with 3.55/5.0 did the ECE translation and they gave him 2.99/4.0 whereas with WES he got 3.24/4.00. The difference is clear and glaring. Whether GPA is your focus or not, still go for WES translation. Its the best. WES will take up to 4 weeks but you can shorten the whole process time by being proactive on your part. The part that delays the most about it is the school verification part after you've applied, paid the translation fee and had your transcript mailed to them. WeS will send the transcript back to your school for verification and its this part that delays the most. However, you can speed this process up by going to your school to make sure they verify it quickly and reply WES immediately. |

@ bigfrancis, wat can u say about GCE? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by imperiouxx(m): 4:43pm On Jul 31, 2013 |
sahlau: @ bigfrancis, wat can u say about GCE? It's been said here countless time that the best is WES in term of CGPA grading which every student wants. Exception is if they don't evaluate transcripts from your school. |

Amefrica: Walspring, u needa take a DELETED chill pill... Why are you so desperate ?! This is not nice bro... I think we should all learn to post words of encouragement to those who are delayed instead of sounding this way. It is pertinent to know that individuals have different approach to setbacks in life. God Bless everyone on the thread.... 2 Likes |

Amefrica: I understand you quite well, all i'm saying is we all should sound much more encouraging to people who get delayed for one reason or the other because no one is perfect. It only takes the GRACE of GOD to scale through at the interview. |

Walspring: TOEFL will cost you 175 dollars if you do the registration yourself. SAT cost 50 dollars if you also do the registration yourself but I don't know much about SAT registration but you can get some agent that will do that for you @ the rate of 12K maximum I mean SAT. for TOEFL you need †̥o follow some processes. (1) Since you said you have done TOEFL before, take note of your old confirmation no because that what they will use †̥o re- book you. (2) You can register via phone call, Load α recharge card of 500 naira or more then call ETS on +31320239593, after some minutes you press option 2 for other test like TOEFL and their customer representative will attend †̥o you asking certain information like your ETS I.D etc. Note:Visa card is accepted, you must have deposit the equivalent of the 175 dollars †̥o your account or someone else that has visa card as ATM card. |

@ the guy that is schooling in Ghana. Ivy League schools are good but doesn't translate to automatic job especially for an int'l student. If in doubt, attend the next SPE conference and you will be amazed by the thousands of Ivy league graduates looking for jobs. Advice: Whichever school you attend, make sure you get good grades and don't be a LEARNER in the US. I rest my case. 1 Like |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by bigfrancis21: 9:08pm On Jul 31, 2013 |
stan-ogb: If obtaining graduate assistantship plus full tuition waiver is your priority, then know that UT Austin, Texas Tech and all schools in Texas give only 50% tuition waiver if given scholarship or GA. They don't give 100% tuition waiver. Its a general state of texas law. Just be aware. UT Austin is a terrific school. If I were you, I'd go for it. 1 Like |
