No denying that the quality of the players matters but you ca't take out the geniuses of coaches like Mourinho, Ferguson, Hiddink et al
This Chelsea team has enough quality to be challenging the title but they have fallen flat when the stakes are high. With coaches like Mourinho, there's the motivation that makes player put in their best even when losing.
