MTN has blackberry issues since 2pm yesterday.wait for a while it may be resolved today or may have being resolved by now. Its not from your phone.
walcolm:

since you're using their dedicated BB10 plan, ask them what the APN setting is supposed to be

walcolm:

is it a new airtel sim? if its an existing airtel sim that has been used to subscribe for BIS service before, it should be a breeze

if the airtel sim is new and this is the first BIS subscription, note that it might take up to 24hrs for the BIS to be fully functional.

subscribe to the airtel unlimited package. dial *440*16# once you load 1500 recharge card on ur sim
thank u so much for ur help, I have updated my phone. So happy. grin

Just recently I noticed my z10 battery drains very quickly after the phone warms up when I'm browsing on 3g. I don't know the cause and it's very annoying cos I have to put my phone on 2g almost all the time to preserve my battery life. I don't know if it's because of an application I installed that's causing this.
Does anyone have a similar experience?

its not unusual for battery to drain faster at higher network speed.....make sure you don't allow your battery to drain completely before you recharge

only their dedicated BB10 plan works...regular MTN BIS doesn't work on BB10 phones

they could have reduced it to 1k in the last few days....the last time I renewed my Glo CoMonth BIS, it was still 1.4k

I tried to workaround it with directions i got from blackberry website no show just getting an error message All day I've been battling with it. I'm so confused. Any suggestions as to what to do.

dedicated BB10 plans from all the networks work just fine. the network's preference is for you to buy the more expensive BB10 plan for your BB10 device.

Because of that, Etisalat and MTN have taken steps to actively block BB10 devices from running on their BIS network

Airtel and Glo on the other hand have not done that and Airtel much more than Glo is very liberal on their allowance. all airtel data plans works on BB10 devices

Glo CoMonth plan works just fine on BB10 which is what I currently use although I am not able to use 3G in lagos and I have to settle for EDGE network when i'm in lagos

All the twitter apps for bb10 suck!!!

By the way, my phone has been working just fine since I upgraded my software thanks to walcom. Glo 3G network works just fine where I stay in lag but my phone gets really hot, so I prefer leaving it on edge to save ba3. I use the office wifi most of the time anyway.

what sucks about them?

i have a GS3 and a Z10 and as much as i agree with you that the BB10 native twitter app is not yet at the same level as the android version, i wont go as much as saying it is horrible

just one or two updates and they will be at feature par with the android. Native facebook already achieved that with the addition of chat

anitank: I tried downloading a song, but it plays the song instead and I don't get a place to click to download. Can someone help out pls

you have to long press the link to the song and wait for the context sensitive menu to appear on the right hand side of the screen, then click the 'save linked file' icon

i have answered this question at least twice in previous pages and attached a screen dump...look through the thread for those posts
