Nigerians living in poverty rise to nearly 61% Poverty has risen in Nigeria, with almost 100 million people living on less than a $1 (£0.63) a day, despite economic growth, statistics have shown. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-17015873 100 million out of a 160 million or so boko's live on less than a $ .....u can never run from reality solo the Igbo dog and oil contributes to 80% of ur state revenue but u furkin monkeys can't even refine crude oil into fuel.....all u do is import.....very soon y'all will be importing d1cks I swear, to satisfy ur women .....y'all talk big but have nothing to show for it...... Why won't a 20 yrs old boko dog marry a 60yrs plus American to escape from tht fat village of a scar...... https://www.nairaland.com/1256896/20-year-old-nigerian-65-year-old-american-wife. 3 Likes

They have a better leadership , the best in Africa. We should stop praising white and praise our brothers. Ghana is an example for us ..deal with it. igbsam: It is not about being the only thing invented by Ghanaians. Ghana invented Highlife music, which was the dominant music in Nigeria before the 1980s. It is about the shamelessness, and the deceit of PSquare hijacking/stealing something from somewhere and then putting your name on it in order to take a dubious credit. And to make it even worse, some ignorant Nigerians said it was Nigeria that made Azonto popular! That is absolutely nonesense! Must we be always desperate to be reckoned with by hook or crook? We dont need to undermine other people inorder to be reckoned with! Azonto had been very popular long before Nigeria accepted it after so much hestitation.....It was the global popularity of the Azonto dance that even made Nigeria to know about it.....! 5 Likes |

mikeapollo: please! Highlife is not Ghanaian! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3686512.stm http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/audio/highlife.php http://blogs.longwood.edu/arkorfulaa/2012/04/27/highlife-and-ghanaian-society/ "But essentially Highlife is associated with a pre-independence sound that arose in the 1950s incorporating elements of swing, jazz and Cuban rhythms with the emerging guitar styles of West Africa. Its roots, according to Ghanaian musicologist John Collins, are in the small portable instruments carried by sea-farers like the Liberian "Kru" mariners. The BBC celebrates West African music In pictures The Kru travelled the West African coast even before Europeans arrived and were later employed on British and American steam-ships." 3 Likes |

Goin through all these comments, i cant help but laugh... U people are here killing yourselves over P Square's Alingo & the guys are busy making money all over the world. P Square dat doensnt even know u guys exist sef. I think dis matter is overflogged sef, why dis fight over Azonto everytime, na precious stone? Abi Azonto dey pay una salary? Dis kind of things are soo childish, everyday its Nigeria- Ghana e-war. Abeg dis matter don ol' sef. We know dat Azonto is from Ghana, who is disputing dat? Big ups to you guys but African dances does not start and end with Azonto. There were other dance steps dat were before it e.g Galala, Suo, Konto, Yahoozee, Alanta etc but all of them have all gone under, so will azonto very soon. Dat Nigeria is the biggest entertainment hub in Africa is undisputable, everyone knows dat. We have paid soo many dues to come to dis level. Other countries are trying too like Ghana, Kenya, South Africa & Uganda & i like some of their artistes too. But dis issue of abusing a whole country cos of dis thread is uncalled for. Abeg moderators, mikuz & mynd_44, i think dis thread needs to be closed soonest. And to u OP, woe unto u for posting dis kinda thread since u know it ll degenerate to something like dis. Soo many immature comments. Dis kinda thread shouldnt be making front pages again cos its blocking d exposure of some upcoming artistes here. Me i have some artistes i wanna promote & post their songs here but dis kinda threads are gaining d whole attention !! LOL. Plz let everyone be matured here. Nigeria is Africa's Entertainment Giant & everyone knows dat. Other African countries too are trying on their own and datz good too. Peace to all of you. |
