I had a dream last night and in the dream,

this is no joke,

it was our tweet that got the attention of the Senate president,

in the dream, the Senate invited the Director general of GIS for

questioning as it regards our stipend.

pls if ur not tweeting ( as i was not tweeting before but am starting now) pls start doing it now, because I can see light at the end of the tunnel this very week,

as I will start doing mine now.

Graduate Internship Scheme will not be scrapped - FG

Federal Government has said it will not
discontinue with the graduate internship scheme,
adding that the programme helps to minimise
the rate of unemployment in the country.
Project Director, GIS, Mr. Peter Papka, stated this
on Friday at a Career Development and
Entrepreneurship training for 2015 batch of the
interns in Uyo.
Represented by the agency’s Chief Operation
Officer, Mr. Kefas Hosea, Papka denied
speculations that the scheme had been
scrapped.
He, however, noted that the stoppage of SURE-P,
which was its parent body, did not affect the
scheme.
He said, “I wish to reaffirm government’s
commitment to this unique scheme. It is one of
the many success stories of government’s effort
to reduce graduate unemployment.
“It is pertinent to let you know that many
graduates are well-prepared for this experience:
this is because there are many that have proved
themselves worthy and have already been
employed. Others have yet to establish their own
businesses, they have secured financial facilities
and have moved on.”

If you taken your time to observe you find out all federal staff nation wide have not been paid and from information reaching us payment may get to next year before it will be made available. Don't know if because it's the Christian celebration at hand that's causing the delay in payment or something else, if you recall during the Muslim celebration period we got our stipend on time. Just my observation and if that's the case we should take our mind off stipends this year.
