Nigerians be vigilant, this is time to fight, not time to celebrate and play politics.Boko haram kill both muslims and christians, the dumb cowards wants to rule over wise civilized people-we will crush them! we all must share information with the Nigerian armed forces, members of the armed forces are noble men and women fighting in defence of you and me. The Nigerian army is fighting the enemy. The enemy that enslaved our women and children, rape our women and girls-the evil enemy that kills, steals and destroy.this is time to fight Boko haram, jambs and whatever name terrorists call themselves.we must destroy them, their sponsors and sympathizers.Goodluck Jonathan,we the Nigerian youths are behind our commander in chief. Death to all terrorists and traitors...fish them out anywhere they are. 3 Likes |

berem: How many Nigerian soldiers were deployed to Mali? To tackle insurgents in Nigeria, we must require more than 2000 soldiers. This is 3 states we are talking about. that is about 660 soldiers per state. Unless more soldiers will be deployed to Yobe and Adamawa.Could be 2000 or more per state.. |

shymexx: boko haram fight open wars - whoever said they don't is completely ignorant of their activities. they have their enclaves and they have been known to go into ground battle with the JTF troops countless times. the troops have started their exodus to borno state. grafikii:wrong, nigeria has slightly less than 130,000(army alone ,to be increased to 150,000 ) acording to cheif of army staff! You can google that to confirm! And the 2000 soldiers are deployed along side Mopol,SSS,NIA and Police! Plus troops already on ground 1 Like |

hardbody:It will destroy their bases, they will loose grounds-people boko haram are enslaving will be emancipated, arms and ammunition will be seized, and commanders of boko haram will be killed or captured. Boko haram has declared war on Nigeria, only a stupid Governor will not take steps to enhance security in their states, they should start rounding all those illegal lebanese, sudanese and arabs for interrogation.they should be massive stop and search operations and cleansing of areas by all state commanders. we all need to join hands and proffer solutions by being objective in our comment. The president needs our support. Long live the federal republic of Nigeria God will give victory to our armed forces. 1 Like |

It is quite SAD that in these day and age our Military is poorly equipped. Most of our Soldier are still carry AK -47 manufactured 20 years ago and our Airforce is still flying Alpha jets which some countries will not even use to train their pilots. Like Sowore said on Aljaazeera stream many of what these Boko Haram boys are getting away with is a simple policing matter but because corruption has eaten deep in to the fabric of our security forces we now have to call the army in. I personally will make a better defense minister than all Nigeria's defense ministers combined. The only thing our Military chief and defense minister are good at is embezzling money, walking around with a walking stick and growing pot bellies. Here is a US General And here is a Nigerian Air Chief Can you spot the difference, the US General is physically fit and can still run a mile while the Nigerian won't even be able to do 5 press ups. When we have undisciplined officers like the Airchief running our Military how can we be formidable force? Here is another picture of unfit officers in the Nigerian army: |

it is time now for "OPERATION FIRE FOR FIRE", since they did not want to embrace dialog as suggested to them, let them come out now and let the war begin. It is uncalled for that a group will have the audacity to tell the government at the center that "it is government that should seek amnesty from them". What an insult! The soldiers should finish them without spearing any. we are solidly behind you. |

coogar: Bro., these are the land area sizes of the 3 states: Bornu state = 70,898 km² Adamawa state = 36,917 km² Yobe state = 45,502 km² You need good military intelligence and an effective counter-insurgency to win against these people. And the Nigeria hasn't been able to do that - hence why BH keeps growing by day. The troops are just going over to kill more civilians. 2,000 soldiers won't change anything. |

Our Soldiers are equipped like this : When they should be equipped like this: We certainly have the money to equip our boys better and reduce their risk of getting killed by thugs. 1 Like |

splashbaby: US Boston Marathon bombing: 2 killed and more than 6000 officers deployed. Nigeria Boko Haram bombing so far: Over 4000 killed and 2000 officers deployed plus probably another 2000 already on ground making 4000. GEJ is a jokeThe joke is on you, man. |

homerac7: it is unfortunate that many residents of our dear Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states have no yet realized that they are now in a declared full-war zone. Our people say that "a wise cripple starts his exodus before the start of a forewarned war" and "when the ear hears and refuses to tell the brain, it will surely be decapitated along with the head", now "a stubborn fly will end up in grave with the corpse". To be forewarned is to be forearmed, he that hath ears, let him hear.lol at KPAKAM |
