Camnewton4pres: You talk gibberish...who told you Cameroon is better than Nigeria in soccer and politics? Why have you decided to wallow in illiteracy and refused to broaden your horizons? You talked about super eagles, what about under 17, 21 and female soccer or let alone the first African country to win the Olympic gold medal in football? Or is it Alex Song that has taken sitting on camp nou bench as a hobby? Your minute records in soccer has been thrown to the dust of history. Club side, international, local league you guys ne'er-do-well...Head-to-head when it comes to winning trophies and/or medals we can never be in the same street; your contemporaries are Madagascar and it likes. Its just like saying who was the first country in Africa to win the most beautiful girl in the world, project firm, or who has been dominating big brother Africa, African music and film industry not to mention but a few? Dont allow my fellow Nigerians break out of their integument and talk tall all because of your inapt and goon essay on nairaland. You have made NLers derailed from the thread. I do believe you guys have your forum in Cameroon? Go there and show off your ego. |

Pukkah: Why were they denied of their own state for God's sake? Is it by force to stay together as part of one country? It is a constutitonal of fence to secede from Nigeria. No region can survive on its own. Sorry. Remember Biafra. To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done!! |

One of the steps in best dealing with Boko-Haram and all other criminals as well is to allow all the people to be able to freely and properly arm themselves so that they can properly defend themselves, love ones, properties, etc. A people that is disarmed are most vulnerable to, and is just sitting ducks for all sorts of criminals who will still have their guns irrespective of the law. Its only the law abiding citizens who will not have any arms. More guns in everybody's hands will result in less crime. And anyone who uses their gun to defend themselves, etc. the government is not suppose to harass such persons for defending themselves. When seconds count the police and military at best are minutes away. Also remember until the police arrives it is just you and the criminal(s) alone. The police can't be here, there and everywhere at the same time to protect you and everyone else. You is suppose to be your best protection at all times. No one else can do it as go as you to protect yourself at all times. If the police can't 100% protect the prisons (from weapons, drugs, etc. getting in) where they have the greatest control then how can they protect you and the whole country at 100%. We all need to stop living in fools' paradise. For more the issue of when a people is armed and allowed to defend themselves results in less crime, and when a people is disarmed by their government results in more crime including tyranny by their governments see the articles and audios to the links below: 1. noblezone: Is that so?Biafra is not the solution to the problems of the Igbos. Rather Biafra is the cause of the current Igbo situation. Through Biafra we lost the number one position as the leading tribe in Nigeria. Through Biafra, and the attendant punitive postwar economic policies against eastern Nigeria, the Igbo moral fabric was severely compromised( Things Fall Apart gives you an idea how strong our moral values were). So that today almost anything is acceptable in our culture once you have money. Because money is worshipped, Igbo children go to school less. But a man with money and no education has limited vision and can at best be a local champion. We need to adapt ourselves to the reality of twenty first century Nigeria. We Igbos need to be more selfless, more educated, learn how to be more emotionally intelligent, have more far-reaching deep underground networking, cherish intergrity more than money, show more respect to the feelings of other people. These are the weapons that we need in the current scramble for control of resources and power in Nigeria. You can only beat your opponents with superior weapons and superior strategies. Then, with the added advantage of our industrious heritage and never-say-die attitude to life, we can be ready to take our rightful place in the Nigerian scheme of things. The current concept of the typical Igboman character held by other tribes in Nigeria are all traceable to Biafra. Fellow easterners, Biafra has served its necessary purpose when it was needed. Emotionalizing Biafra as many Igbos currently do can only trap us in the past. |

tempest01: It would have ben better if they declared their country. It would have been an easier task 4 nigeria as we know we ll be at war against another "country". We can, then level the said country. Not now that these civilians are creating a safe haven for them, and when they are caught in the cross fire, Amnesty international will cry wolf.Good Military Strategy. Allow, mark out, isolate, and attack the dedicated defence(99.9% Military-Military Combat- The Ojukwu Mistake ) |
