Buhari’s CPC, Presidency Verbal Missiles: Reuben Abati, The Untutored Spin Doctor In Ridiculous Defence Of Jonathan- Fashakin

Gen Muhammad Buhari’s CPC and Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency today continued their exchange of verbal missiles with the former calling presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati an untutored spin doctor who is ready to sink defending a ridiculous position.

CPC’s statement released today by its spokesman, Rotimi Fashakin was in response to the salvo fired by Abati yesterday against both the CPC and ACN. It reads: “The Presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, responded to the observation raised by the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) on the just-concluded African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with such unmitigated incivility that easily evinces the pressure currently enveloping the entire apparatus of the Presidency. The intemperate and vile verbiage was symptomatic of a pathetically disoriented presidential lackey!

“The trajectory of Abati’s career as a Presidential aide reveals a beginning scripted in deception and, undoubtedly, can only be sustained by deception. It explains why, in his current circumstances, he cannot be expected to deal in the truth. The Palace appointment, as a fitting reward for a hatchet job in mendacious writings in his regular Newspaper column during and after the April 2011 elections, is to him, something that must be desperately clutched unto. We understand; only appalled by the descent to uncouth and gutter language! Reuben Abati just showed, in his last statement, lack of training for his job function and an inbred atavistic incongruence.

“I invite the discerning Nigerian public to come along as we sift the facts in the story as told by Abati the battered hireling. President Good-luck Jonathan, as head of the Nigerian delegation, left the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the AU summit. In diplomatic arena, that was the Primary objective of the delegation. This presupposes that any other business is secondary! Furthermore, Dr Jonathan indicated to address the summit, and was permitted. But he, in his wisdom, believed other matters were more important than the primary objective of being in Addis-Ababa. Obviously, this line of logic showed Abati as asinine and despicably cretinous. He is obviously hiding the vital truth from Nigerians. Not done, he went on to say that the Minister for Foreign Affairs presented the President’s statement at the summit. We shudder to think that all the Nigerian Tax payers’ funds used in paying the humongous estacodes for Reuben Abati and his colleagues on the President’s entourage was for mere submission of a statement after the summit!

“He further asserted that Dr Jonathan was not the only President that was represented by the country’s foreign minister. Again, the poor spinning skills of Reuben Abati came to fore. We know Dr Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara, Sierra Leone’s foreign minister, represented his President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, who was unavoidably absent at the summit. Abati failed to tell us the other foreign ministers, aside Nigeria’s, that represented Presidents who were physically present for the AU summit! If we may ask: is submission of a statement by a foreign minister after a conference coterminous with the President, using the stage, to articulate the Nation’s position on the regional discourse?

“In our earlier communication, the word ‘inebriation’ was not used or implied in describing the reason for the President’s inability to read his statement to the audience at the summit. But Abati, the untutored presidential spokesman, in a clumsily laid out verbosity, imputed this as part of our statement. Could this idiocy indeed be a Freudian slip?

“The entire hog-wash Abati chose to call a State-house press statement aptly underscored the incompetence that has become the trade mark of the Jonathan presidency!

“As a Party, we really sympathize with Abati for the dislocation in his career path and the utter misadventure the media aide appointment has turned out for him. The future, as a practicing Journalist, is bleak and the past cannot be recalled. He is stuck in the conundrum of a sinking regime. Unfortunately, his choice is to sink with it!”

A perfect and matured response from Fashakin.
The opposition is on a daily basis, showing that they are more responsible than the touts in government.
We shall continue to see more reason why we should vote out this regime who think governance is all about getting drunk and sending a tout like Abati to clear the mess!

No sir. You should rather sympathize with yourself. Abati is giving you a dose of your own medicine since that is the only language you and your gang understand.

Abati has laid the facts bare. It was Nigeria that indicated interest to speak and the foreign affairs minister presented the country's position on behalf of the president. The president at that moment was attending to what he considered more pressing issues.

If the Fashakin and his e-warriors think reading a speech was more important than what the president did on the sidelines, that is their cup of tea. If they ever manage to find themselves in Aso Rock, they can do it their own style. But for now, GEJ rules.

If not for pettiness and JOBLESSNESS, why should whether or not the president read a speech at the AU summit be an issue? Mr president must have delivered thousands of speech by now since assuming office. The latest, I think, was during his state visit to South Africa, when he received a standing and thunderous applause after addressing the South African parliament. Mr Fashakin and his e-warriors should take their frustrations, LIES, and propaganda elsewhere

Fashakin or whatever you call yourself, you can only deceive gullible people with the jagon you just spewed. You are a praise singer just as Abati; you are an image maker just as Abati and you are protecting the interest of your principal just as Abati.
Inasmuch as GEJ is still Mr President, you will continue to be on the other side of the divide while Abati will continue to protect his principal. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO QED! Politics is all about interest. Wait for your turn (ie if you guys will ever get there).

Dude, what is wrong with you? I know you are shameless but don't you know when to eat humble pie and remain silent? Did you take in what is written below, exposing the amateur antics of Abati, before showing your face here? Every sensibly ambitious fan of the President will concede that what is revealed below represents unacceptable incompetence that sends out the clear message of how GEJ is surrounded by dullards and cretins who are second best to others. We must conclude you are included in that category as well with how you cannot see that Abati, based on what is written below alone, has come off a very poor second best against Fashakin despite his uncouthness and gutter-like lack of refinement.

Nigerian Opposition Parties are a disgrace to me personally. They shun salient issues and keep tackling fact-less nonsense. The message in the AU was read and its the same content that the President was supposed to read, the message was passed and the listeners welcomed it.

The President shot 2 birds with one stone, by engaging in another productive meeting. What really is the problem ?

I know the following are the reason that CPC and their fellow losers feels terrible;

Buhari will NEVER address AU as President of Nigeria, cos He will NEVER be President of Nigeria.
CPC will NEVER win election in Nigeria, NEVER EVER!
Fashakin will NEVER be Spokesperson to a President, Never! Ever!! Cos BokoBuhari will NEVER be President!

Hahahahahaha, I killed them like JTF dismantling Boko Haram!

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, has described the spokesperson of the opposition Congress for Progressive Change as a medieval-era ignoramus and brainless individual.

In a statement Tuesday night, Mr. Abati was unsparing of Mr. Fashakin who had earlier issued a statement condemning President Goodluck Jonathan for missing his speaking slot at the just-concluded African Union summit in Addis Ababa.

The CPC spokesperson had also accused the president of instigating the crisis in the Nigeria Governors' Forum.

But in responding to Mr. Fashakin's criticism of his boss, an ostensibly angry Mr. Abati poured invectives on the CPC spokesperson describing him as a silly, hideous and second rate character whose family should be ashamed of.

He described him as a disruptive character with a mental indolence that has left him with a deep character flaw.

Read the full statement below.

We are dealing with such hideous and second rate characters in Nigeria's public space, belonging to the ACN and the CPC, and that other would-be disaster-prone mongrel called APC that they won't even respect the truth. The prize for being silly in this regard must go to one Rotimi Fashakin who describes himself as the National Publicity Secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).

He is an arm-chair critic per excellence and a medieval-era ignoramus.

In a release titled "President Jonathan's AU summit gaffe" (May 28) Rotimi displayed such habitual indolence and brainlessness that his heirs must be eternally ashamed of, and which I consider offensive and needlessly disruptive. His subject is the just-ended AU @ 50 summit in Addis Ababa.

I invite more cerebral and decent persons to consider the facts. President Jonathan as the leader of the Nigerian delegation to the AU summit in Addis Ababa and the 50th anniversary of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) indeed put up a sterling performance, using the opportunity of the trip to further promote Nigeria's interests and to strengthen Nigeria's relationships with other countries. He held bilateral meetings with the UN Secretary General and the leaders of Jamaica, Egypt, Swaziland, Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire. He granted interviews to the media, local and international. He also participated in a special session on HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, at which he invited other world leaders to the Abuja+12 conference to be hosted in Nigeria, mid-June. President Jonathan is an accomplished diplomat and a responsible leader under whose watch, Nigeria's foreign policy process and international relations have been strengthened with commendable results.

Fashakin, failing to do minimal research that any right-thinking person would attempt, jumps to the conclusion that President Jonathan missed his slot at the AU and that nobody represented him. This is more than 48 hours after I had issued a statement indicating that no slot was missed. Fashakin must be so busy he doesn't even bother to read the news. No slot was missed because no country was under any compulsion to speak. Any country that wished to make a statement indicated the interest to do so, by pressing the button at its own convenience. Nigeria had indicated an interest to speak, but the President needed to attend an urgent ECOWAS meeting on the Lagos-Abidjan Highway, to be attended by five West African countries, to take a report by the Nigerian Minister of Works who is the chair of the regional inter-Ministerial body on the proposed Lagos-Abidjan Highway. I have since circulated the conclusions of that meeting.

While President Jonathan was attending that meeting, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, the Minister of Foreign Affairs presented our statement to the OAU at 50 on President Jonathan's behalf. I have also since circulated the full text of that statement. In other words, Nigeria's voice was heard, loud and clear. Let it be noted that President Jonathan's attendance of a meeting on the sidelines of the AU Summit was perfectly in order, and he attended quite a number, just as Minister Ashiru was not the only Foreign Minister who spoke on behalf of a President at the Summit. So where did Fashakin get his information from that nobody represented Nigeria?

The nature of his mental indolence is understandable. In this attempt to pull President Jonathan down at all costs, lies have become standard stuff, mischief a major commodity, and indecency a character flaw. President Jonathan does not owe anyone an apology for serving Nigeria diligently and truthfully.

Fashakin's reference to an incident in Australia is also wrong-headed because the allegation is false. In fact, in Australia, President Jonathan met with a broad range of investors in the mining sector and that has resulted in huge investments in the Nigerian mining sector. I consider the insinuation about inebriation, in Fashakin's statement, amplified by his paid agents in other fora, as utterly disrespectful and foolish. They can't certainly be talking about a President who is a well-focused man of achievement.

By the same token, I consider the reference to Governor Rotimi Amaechi and the Nigeria Governors' Forum in that statement as a red herring. Again, I advise Fashakin to read the newspapers so he can be abreast of developments, the only way he can get close to being an effective spokesperson. I had made it clear that President Jonathan has no hand in the Governors Forum crisis, and we stand by that position.

Our case is not rested. When next Fashakin comes to the public with unintelligent thoughts about President Jonathan, it shall remain our duty to continue to remind him of the need to think before talking.

Secondly Nigeria was under no obligation to participate in that debate..WE CHOSE TO...

Fashakin in his mind knows exactly what he meant..if he didn't imply INEBIRATION..then what exactly makes one BILLOUS...

Fashakin is a shameless liar..remember how he said Oristejafor's plane was bought by GEJ...a claim he can't substantiate...
