Please I need recommendation.

A good Nissan engineer who van fix my Nissan Altima 2005 2.5 Automatic transmission.

I has a harsh gear 1 to 2 shift. Makes a kick sound while engaging between gear 1 and 2.

I have changed the bad engine seating and also the transmission oil.
The transmission is very smooth after that first kick between gear 1 and 2.

Location: Akure.

You finally decided to get the ride, congratulations.

Engine Oil - 0W-20 preferred, 5W-30 alternative. You can purchase a blank keyfob and get it programmed.

I love Nissan ..... I had an Altima Nissan ser special ...years ago.. Lovely car and fast too .... People say that Nissan usually have transmission issue.. Maybe it is the murano .... But me never experience such problems.......

Young man.. You got a nice whip .. Especially keyless type........ Use the recommended oil and especially especially and especially transmission fluid.....failure to abide by those rules will end in premiere tears.....engine and parts now cost .........

Recommended oil is 5w30 or 0w20.........check my signature for details

Enjoy the ride and welcome to the Nissan family... I drive an Infiniti myself .... We are in the same family

My Mechanic serviced my Throttle body for no reason and since then my Infiniti G35 2007 on idle (On Park or Neutral gauge) revs up and down continuously between 1100 to 1900 forever. On Drive gauge the engine is too high. We have checked with computer and computer did not see any problem with the engine. What do I do. Anybody with experience on this.

I have bought the Throttle Body four times from Lagos in the last three weeks and all of them still rebs up and down. The Mechanic guy used his computer to try and bring it down to no avail. I am confused on what to do next, I just need help.

You've not been able to resolve this issue since February?

Replace the ECM.

Noooo, you don't need to purchase another throttle body, or all these throttle bodies. You only need a relearn procedures carried out on them.

Even a normal scanner with throttle adaptation capabilities can do it.

Please what should be my best advise. To buy a new ECM or what? My Mechanic has a sophisticated computer system and has tried to use it to relearn the throttle body but it didn't work. All the throttle body behaved the same way. Rev up and down immediately insulted.

'Sophisticated computer system' is an ambiguous phrase. That sophisticated computer system could just be big and sophisticated for no good use. This I've seen countless times. Get a proper tool that is capable of fixing this issue.

Please tell me what I need, if he doesn't have it, then I will look for alternative. I am just desperate. That car is very good and looking at it now breaks my heart.

but I've told you what you need. You need someone who has a scanner that does throttle body relearn.

Try all of these...

**a quick reset can be accomplished by disconnecting the negative battery terminal, and depressing the brake a few times.

ECU Resetting Procedures
Timing is extremely critical. If it is NOT DONE within the specify time, the ECU will not reset and the Check Engine Light (CEL) will continue to remain ON.
Operations Procedures

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 second.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.
If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU.

Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning
Operation Procedure

1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning
Operation Procedures

1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch to “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.
Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)
It is better to count the time accurately with a clock. 1. Perform “Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning”.
2. Perform “Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning”.
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Turn ignition switch “OFF” and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Confirm that the accelerator pedal is fully released, then turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)
7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.

I have done this Relearn by myself before over and over and over again. When I say that the Mechanic has a computer, I mean Scanner. I know that his scanner is good except their is a special scanner for the relearn.

Where is your original throttle body?
Install it back and do the relearn.

If e no work, I go buy that car from your hand as long as it's white or silver.

You asked this question in February and I shared my experience. After consultation with user forums, I realised that certain versions of the ECM ROM could not go into relearn mode while some others required Kazeem-like technique (e.g disconnecting MAF to reduce RPM) to enter relearn mode.

Relearns and swaps with used/brand new TBs did not work until I replaced the ECM.
