thelastPope: This is junk journalism at its best. I just stopped reading at the point where it said the oil production was at its lowest ever, even lower than at the peak of militancy and he quoted a figure of 1.3 million barrels per day. Lol. At the peak of militancy, Nigeria was producing 700, 000 barrels per day. That completely gave them up as shameless liars that cooked up their news from their azz! This is a totally false and bizzaire story. This is not the way to do opposition but it the sad story of Nigeria. A country with an opposition that wants the country to go down so they can rise to power and they will kill, maim, distort, concort lies and propaganda to achieve their aim.

They are even paying a band of hungry folks online to push their cause. Sad!

All U need do is state the facts and put the record straight, if this is a lie, what are your facts?!

Buhari has poorly managed the economy;OBJ meet Nigerian economy in a worst state than this but he assembled expert and technocrats to help save the economy from 30yrs of military rule.. That was the time telecom operators came on board employed thousands, that was when our banking industry became a force, nollywood industry became the 3rd in the world.
What we have seen so far in his cabinet are just old politicians with no idea how to tackle the myriad of challenges we are facing.
Yesterday unity bank sacked over 200 of it work force, the oil industry sacked over 350,000 of it direct employee. My brother stop this party thing and let's face the reality... Let's challenge this set of old men to seek for experts in economy our universities and abroad because all we are suffering now are self induced as a result of bad policy of the government.
How can you pull over 3.4 trillion from the banking industry and luck it in a vote in less than 3 months and the economy won't shake?

How can you compare OBJ tenure with Buhari

1)During Obj tenure cost of governance was far cheaper than now

2) Nigeria's population was far lower than now

3) Price of commodites was far cheaper than Now

4) Cost of production was far cheaper than Now

YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE EXCUSE.
Nigerians voted him because of his promises during the campaign period, Buhari should rather find solution on how to tackle the economy, Buhari should create synergy with the rest 21 APC state on the best and quickest alternative to end this hunger in the land.
Tell Buhari to meet with his follow APC states to kick start operation "own a rice farm". If every state can emulate Anambra then in less than 4 months Nigerians won't import rice again there by conserving scarce forex

And was our earnings the same like back then?

The useless woman gave the warning when oil was selling for $80 but oil us selling for $30 now so shouldn't common sense tell you that when your economy is doing bad at$80 p/b, it's even going to be catastrophic at $30/no.

It's like you think you should be drinking champagne when you have 3 Kobo when you couldn't even afford it when you had 10 Kobo.

The woman told us to get ready to suffer in 2013/2014/2015 because ahe knew our reserve was gone meaning if the price of oil keeps dropping and dropped to where it is today, their won't be any reserve left to fend of recession, it's simple economics.

When oil was selling for $100, she failed to diversify the economy and laid bsolutely no economic foundation to build on so what can the new administration do with oil as our main income earner selling for peanuts and some useless terrorists blowing up oil instalations and depleted foreign reserves?

The previous economy was based in corruption, looting and stealing and patronage. Even the banks had no real capital, the funds they lived large on was corruption and stolen funds that they no longer have.

That corruotion economy and culture must go and be replaced with real economy based on real productivity for us to survive.

We are talking about past governmenta that spent 90% of out yearly budgets on 1% of 170 with 10% left for the rest of the country. Jo money for capital projects which creates jobs and even the little they budget for roads is looted hence the whole country littered with thousands of abandoned projects.

You people can do better by telling us the brand or kind of magic wand or abracadabra this government can perform to increase our earnings by making oil sell for $100 like under jona or how they can do in less than 2 years with $30 oil price what previous governments could not do since independence.

You people should start from their, let us hear your wonderful advice and economic master plan instead of the pointless and meaningless noise.
