Hey Blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been following the UEFA U21 championships since it started and there is this dreaded dutch I enjoy watching everytime he touches the ball. I mean he is such a good payer. Think of a younger Edgar Davids and the foot work of Arjen Robben and that is what you have in ROYSTON DRENTHE.

He is left footed. Football anlysts say he can play on the left of midfield and left back. I have seen him play for Holland  and I think he can play anything and anywhere from midfield to attack. He is as clever as lionel messi and he is just 20.

I could not help wishing JM spots him before hungry MAN You.

This evening my day was made when I saw in the papers that Jose has offered him a £4m deal for a chelsea  from feyenoord.

Has anyone seen this chap? If u have what do you think about him? Do you think he is that driving midfielder chelsea might need. i know he is still young but he one of those footballers that seem to mature quickly.

comments please.

ROYSTON DRENTHE would be a good buy esp for the future

I cant help but wonder at the change in our spending policy. We know go for younger guys. I think its a welcome development. Again what do you guys think of the other targets - Malouda and Miguel.

@somze

Maybe not for the future. Maybe now. Barcelona bought messi out of this same competition ; U21 and he commanded a first team shirt in his first season and he was very instrumental to their la liga and champions league success.

Mikel obi out of this same tournament and he commanded a first team shirt. If we had a bet at the beginning of last season that JM will sit makalele down for Mikel to play, a lot of people would have lost their bets.

Actually he might sit robben. My opinion,

I think miguel is cool. Malouda, good player but I think he's not so fatanstic on goal.

Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by cabali(m): 6:49am On Jul 01, 2007
that's not bad, I think he will b more in focus that way. I don't c us spending money also getting players. I guess wht we will cover up this year 4 d purchase of last year and run a profit.
Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by Mustay(m): 7:23am On Jul 01, 2007
. . . What they should 've done last year.
They wasted big time money on shevy. That move still irks me till today.
Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by Mustay(m): 7:27am On Jul 01, 2007
We get a player who's used to d premiership, we give a gap on d table before january and we escape injuries is what we need.
I'm just afraid 4 us when an essien, Drogba and kalou leave 4 d africa cup. I'll 've loved us to get a Mc Carthy since d guy's used to JM but it's d same problem of nations cup we'll have.
Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by cabali(m): 8:21am On Jul 01, 2007
or we go ahead as planned and pray cote d'vore and ghana b removed at first round. that way we get our club boys back and we give naija a good chance 2 grab d cup. lol.
Re: Strictly Chelsea Talk: by Mustay(m): 8:23am On Jul 01, 2007
