Sule Lamido Lacks Quality To
Be President, He is 419”
L-R-Gov-Sule-Lamido-and-Dan
By Umar Akilu Majeri, Dutse
The director of information Jigawa state
under the Saminu Turaki administration and
the former national coordinator of the PDP
northern region campaign of the Late
President Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Alhaji
Ishaq Hadejia, today, challenged the
qualifications of the Jigawa State governor to
vie for the office of the President in 2015. He
challenged the governor to come clean on the
allegation of forgery certificate and the poor
quality of leadership rendered so far in
Jigawa State.
Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, who is now a member of
the opposition party, All Progressive
Congress [APC] in Jigawa state, stated that
Governor Sule Lamido lacked the leadership
quality to rule the country in 2015. He stated
this in an exclusive interview with
247ureports.com.
Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia called on informed
observers to compare the infrastructural
development on ground in the State against
the many billions “looted by the Lamido
administration”.
Available information indicates that
Governor Sule Lamido was a secondary
school dropout – who following his rise to
Governor’s seat quickly rose to the ranks of
multi-billionaire. Allegations from competent
quarters indicate that he may have gone
beyond enriching himself – to enrich his sons
and his extended family. While he served as
the federal minister of foreign affairs, he
owned no significant buildings or properties –
but with his accession to the seat of Jigawa
State Governor, he erected major structures
scattered across the landscape of Kano State.
According to Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, “billions of
Naira meant for Jigawa state government was
diverted to his elder’s son account ”.
Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia continued to reveal that
one of Lamido’s commissioners diverted
virtually all developmental projects originally
earmarked to various regions in the State to
the Governor’s hometown in Birnin kudu
local government. Birnin kudu local
government received projects worth over
N30billion.
“Lamido’s government is a selfish
government” lamented Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia –
as he continued to add that “Jigawa people
will not allow people like Lamido to continue
deceive the people in the state. The
government of Jigawa state is trying to play
with our intelligence – to start executing
project that will never be completed – in
order to win the mind of the people – as part
of presidential campaign. It will not be
possible”.
Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia said he learnt that Jigawa
state government is planning to execute
N10billion worth of projects to the people of
Hadejia at the tail end of his 8 years in office.
“But the people of Hadejia can see why he is
suddenly acting to placate them”. Alhaji Ishaq
Hadejia cautioned that those who are
advertising Lamido as a presidential flag
bearer “are deceiving themselves because
Lamido could not perform and he too knows
that he cannot”.
He continued, “There are many Nigerians who
are qualified to lead the country better than
Lamido”, – that there is no need devoting
time on “Lamido who don’t have even
secondary school certificate, who is arrogant
and lacking in language discipline”.
He urged Nigerian to make a better choice in
the next coming election to elect leaders that
could perform better and be useful to
Nigerians – those who could protect lives and
properties of the people not people like
Lamido. “Lamido has lots of problem which
everybody knows. His nature of rudeness is
unrivaled”.
“How will Nigerians allow such people to lead
them? I know if Nigerians mistakenly elect
Lamido as president in 2015 they will regret it
because poverty will increase in the country.
Jigawa people are now in hardship. Many
people were injected with poverty in the
state. So how could we advertise such people
to be elected as leaders in the country? We
here in Jigawa we have made that mistake
and we will not do it again and we will not
allow Nigerians to copy it” he stated.
“If Lamido wants to help Jigawa people, he
should improve the farming activities. He
should use that N30billion spent in his local
government for agricultural purpose. It will
help the farmers boost farming activities in
all the 27 local government areas in the state”.
Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia also commented on the
recent effort by the Lamido administration to
bring foreign investors to the State. In his
words, “all the investors who attended the
Jigawa economic summit to invest on various
trades in the state have understood that
anybody who mistakenly sinks his money in
Jigawa will never make any profits because
Jigawa people consider the summit as
toothless”.
“The investors should be very careful of the
419 arrangement between the Lamido and his
political father Obasanjo”.

So you believe the story coming from APC official? The same APC you and your ilks berated many times. The same APC you hate so much? On the record, Lamido was trained as an Engineer in India. I advise you to do a little bit of research. I don't know why people bring up allegations without evidence to support the allegations. Where was the APC official when Sule Lamido was fighting Abacha for misrules in the mid 90s? Where was he when Abacha sent Lamido to prison without trial for speaking against corruption?

Where is your proof? You are very sick! He is a member of PDP and you just labelled one of PDP members a "Boko Haram sponsor". Are you now confirming PDP members who happen to be Hausas are Boko Haram supporters? It seems you and other SE/SS id1ots are confused. You all label APC members as Boko haram members or sponsors. Now you are also labelling any PDP members who happen to be Hausa as "Boko Haram sponsors". Orie ti daru!

Its ridiculous the way anybody who has an ambition is being maligned because of GEJ. And it speaks volumes when everybody is now a boko haram sponsor, not educated, a killer, an emperor etc when evidence at times points in the direction these people are coming from.

Its obvious this is a planned gang-up and a cursory look at many previous posts show these people do nothing except despoil others and try to shore up just one person.

Why not convince us with performance? Why do you rise ONLY when others fall? Even from High School (and people "boast" with this as God's Blessing), people say that the substantive head-boy had issues is why he climbed up! Since then, its been same - what manner of destiny destroys other people to rise and cannot stand by its own self?

It's sickening

Anyone who is against Jonathan's incompetence is labeled Boko Haram sponsor or apologist, AC warriors, al qaeda sympathizer, state treasury looter, certificate forger, and all names in the book. I have one word for these PDP micreants............., 2015. That is the year Nigerians; most especially, 75% of Northerners and 90% of Southwesterners come together and put religion and ethnicity in one place to elect a competent man to lead Nigeria to the promise land. Only 35% of elegible voters and 50% of elegible voters from North and Southwest voted in the last election. The same mistake won't be repeated again.

While I do not begrudge him on being a drop-out because being one is not a yardstick for competence in a place of authority afterall we've heard and seen of many school drop-outs that are doing great in their respective fields or chosen careers! However, I do begrudged him for the forgery levelled against him and his lack of competence! Unfortunately, this is the same man Obasanjo wants to be President and even Amaechi wants as his boss shocked shocked shocked what a shame! Dear God, thank you for giving us GEJ

His Excellency Alh. (Dr.) Sule Lamido con, Governor of Jigawa State was born on August 30, 1948, at Bamaina Village in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State. Western education began for the homeboy at Birnin Kudu Primary School in 1955. In 1962, Sule Lamido entered Barewa College , Zaria , even as he battled the tide against western education in his area. Pursuing western education against the background of this tide and that of a typically affluent, arrogant and politically confident Kano Province lad was a daunting challenge but Lamido graduated in December 1966.
Based on re¬cruitment drive persuasion prior to his exit from Barewa College, Sule Lamido opted to train as a Railway Engineer. But the practical side of the training that took place at the Permanent Way Train-ing School, Zaria, proved unattractive to the budding engineer who opted out altogether, especially as the promise of travelling to and training as a real En¬gineer in India no longer seemed forth¬coming. Disenchanted with Railway Engineering and denied parental approval for a military career, Sule Lamido opted for the Nigerian Police. Although he got the chance, he missed it, having gone on to other things when the second signal calling them up came. The first signal to that effect halted their resumption at the Police College , Ikeja, as a result of the threat being issued by the Eastern Regional Governor, Colonel Emeka Ojukwu.

In 1969, Sule Lamido anchored at the Nigeria To¬bacco Company, Zaria , first as Quality Control Officer in charge of ascertaining quality of mixing and packaging. Today, he is fond of saying that: "Throughout that one year, every cigarette manufactured in Zaria must have passed under my strict quality control supervision".
Later at NTC, Zaria , he became Zonal Salesman, first for the North West areas of Gusau, and Sokoto, before moving to take charge of the North East, covering present Taraba, Bauchi, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States . Much later, he took over in present Benue and Plateau areas, thereby ending up with intimate knowledge of the entire Northern region of Nigeria. In 1972, Sule Lamido left the NTC for Christlieb as Northern Field Man-ager and later Brand Manager (Provisions). As the Brand Manager, Sule Lamido made all the company's imports as well as opened new offices of the company which sold Thermos flasks, Quaker products, Heinz prod-ucts, Cornflakes; Peppermint, Vaseline and Phensic (on behalf of Beecham). He had, in this position, the privilege of going to all the island local govern¬ment areas of Rivers and Cross River States through Itigidi, everywhere in present Delta and Edo States , so that today, he is one of the few politicians who can say he had been able to appre¬ciate Nigeria ever before becoming a politician.

In 1987, Sule Lamido left Christlieb to come of age, business wise. That year, he founded Bamaina Holding Company which is now Bamaina Company Limited, involved in textile, oil and, as he himself puts it, just about anything that brings money. In 1979, he became a federal legislator on the platform of the radical populist People's Redemption Party, (PRP). In the Federal House of Representatives, he was a member of the House Business, Account, Water Resources and Works Committees. When it was time to form parties under Babangida Transition Pro-gramme, Sule Lamido was among the social democrats who put together the People's Solidarity Party, (PSP), one of the thirteen (13) political parties that were disbanded by the military regime in favour of two parties -the National Republican Convention, NRC, and the Social Democratic Party, (SDP), in 1989.
Sule Lamido was elected the pioneer Chairman of the Party (SDP) for Kano State . With the creation of Jigawa out of the old Kano State , Lamido became again the (pioneer Chairman and later the governorship aspirant until the then Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida disqualified him along with seven others. In late 1992, Sule Lamido was elected the National Secretary of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP). He was thus a core actor in the victory of Chief M. K. O. Abiola in the 1993 presidential election which was, however, annulled in contradictory junta power politics.

In 1994, after the two parties were disbanded when late General Abacha took over government, Sule Lamido became the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nigerian Agricultural and Co-operative Bank, NACB, his first major political appointment in life.
In 1995, he went onto the National Constitutional Conference as an ap-pointee of the Federal Military Government but the seeming romance between the politician and the military terminated too abruptly once the politician became a critic of self- succession, particularly as a member of the G-18, the opposition platform of the most notable Northern politicians, whose rejection of General Sani Abacha, destabilised the latter's self-succession project. It culminated in his arrest and detention in early 1998 by the regime. When Sule Lamido was released from detention in mid-l 998, he rejoined his political group which had, by now, moved into the national platform called the G-34. Subsequently, the group formed the People's Democratic Party, PDP, under which he contested gover¬norship of Jigawa State but lost in very controversial circumstances.

In June 1999, Sule Lamido was nominated for ministerial appointment by President Olusegun Obasanjo and subsequently confirmed by the Senate. He emerged the Foreign Affairs Minister on June 30, 1999, when the ministers were sworn in.
In late 2003, Lamido returned to his native Jigawa state after serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1999-2003. He went straight into opposition leadership against the ANPP Government the National political Conference. In late 2007, he clinched the gubernatorial candidacy of the People's Democratic Party, (PDP) emerging the governor on May 29th, 2007...........

CHAIRMAN of the Action Congress of Nigeria
(ACN) in Jigawa State, Dr. Abubakar Hassan
Fulata, has begged Governor Sule Lamido for
forgiveness for defaming his character when he
alleged that the governor did not posses the
West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) at
the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
At the resumed hearing of the case on Monday
at the Kiyawa High Sharia Court, the case took a
dramatic twist as the accused Fulata sought for
the complainant’s forgiveness.
The ACN chairman was remanded in prison
custody after he was arrested by the police and
arraigned before a Sharia court in Dutse barely
two days after his party lost its petition against
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the
tribunal.
The accused was charged to court by the
governor through the office of the attorney
general and commissioner of justice over alleged
defamation of the character and image of
Lamido.
At the court, Fulata’s counsel, Dalhatu Shehu
Usman, pleaded with the judge no to read the
charges before the court because his client was
willing to seek the governor’s forgiveness.
The Attorney General and Commissioner for
Justice, Yakubu Abdullahi Ruba, who was also
counsel to Lamido in the matter, urged the court
to consider section 142 of the Sharia Penal Code
that stipulates that it is obligatory for the court
to read the charge to the accused even in
situation where compromise seems to be
reached.
The defence lawyer argued that it was
immaterial for the court to read the charges
since a truce had been reached, adding that it
might confirm that the accused had indeed
committed the crime which might prompt the
court to take a definite decision on his client.
The Sharia Judge, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad
Abdullahi, however, overruled Usman, saying
that in line with section 297 of the Jigawa Sharia
Penal Code procedure, it was mandatory for the
court to read out to the accused his charges
despite the move for reconciliation, adding that
it would also guide the court on the actual
offence committed and its ruling.
Fulata, who was docked, pleaded guilty of the
charges of defamation of the character of the
governor.
“His Excellency Alhaji Sule Lamido as the leader
in Jigawa is also my leader and my godfather, my
friend and my political mentor, I solicit for your
kind heartedness to overlook and forgive my
declaration that you forged your certificate, it is
the work of the devil which has deprived our
years of close relationship,” the Jigawa ACN
chairman pleaded.

Nigerian Youths wake up, We have no other
country except Nigeria, We have been suffering
in silence while our Leaders put our future in
their bank accounts. How can we remain like
this? How can a youth go to school and suffered
to graduate at the end no job. You are almost 40
and still your future is as bleak as a dark room.
Did your parents send you to school to sit at
home because our Government have failed us.
Let us come out one day and say No. We must
not remain like this, we cannot all travel abroad to
find a better life, our better life is here in our
country. We have the money, oil and resources
but only a selected few have continue to suck it
dry why we keep believing God for a change,
wake up now I challenge you. We need 500,000
youths in each of the 36states to challenge the
Government. We say NO, we need rebuild this
nation, we will vacate those who stand on our
way as they are considered the enemy. A man
cannot have billions of naira while millions of
youths roam the streets every day looking for
daily bread. Our young men must not all be
kidnappers, our young girls must not all be
prostitutes. Get Ready I tell you. The time has
come for us to react, the only way our
Government listens is violence, they have shown
it to the Niger delta militants and now they are
planning to show it to the boko haram..whereas a
simple gesture of N20,000 per month to the
unemployed was rejected and you pay militants
N75,000 per month. How much do they pay as
minimum wage? How much do they pay to
elected officers, we are going to revolt. Nigeria
will burn to be rebuilt again like Libya, Iraq,
Egypt and Tunisia...please spread this message
unless you want to die in poverty in a country
where God has destined all of us to be happy and
prosperous...!!!pls join the group on facebook
