Every couple has d dream of giving birth to cute little angels. And without names these cutties wouldn't be complete and I heard a saying that names matter in the destiny of a child. So I was wondering what names wud u not give ur kids.. As for me I am against giving my kids english names(though I can tolerate a few spanish/itallian/portuguese/latin names like pedro,louis paulo, for males and maybe anne-marie only for females). I am an itsekiri by ethnicity and I feel giving kids local names is cool by me cos it gives individual an idea where we come from E.G SEUN,CHIDI,AHMED etc... What do fink? And also what re the names u can't give ur kids?? My list includes 1.Livinus 2.Donatus 3.Paulicap 4.Hypolyte 5.Jumbo 6.Johnbull 7.Billy 8.Happy 9.Hope 10.Joy 11.Tina Pls help me out.. |

I dont think putting up names answers the question, we apparently have gazillions of names we wouldnt want our Kids to bear, such which Include inanimate names like Osisi or even Orishirishi  The List shouldnt be exhaustable, silly names keeps emanating eachday! |

Most parents tend to give names to their kids out of naivity, stark ignorance of what such name mean, and most times for Popularity sake. That I call my kid 'Thunderbolt' doesnt imply u should call urs same, there must have been a thunder that struck heavily during the kid's birth that laid an idea to such - And the best way to archive such Incident is by naming ur kid such  Site like www.babynames.com would go a long way to curb Inanimate and cynical names our kids get to bear nowadays - Parents beware!  |
