I will acutally say the list is controversial because I am aware of the method used. It is basicaly not a local method but a World Bank standard procesure method, in which the bank basically give Nigerian agencies loans at a low interest rate and basically dictates the procedures of the disbursement of these loans. Those companies likely violated one of the sections or codes in the World Bank operating procedure. I will like the BPE to generate a Nigerian procedure to sanction not debar agencies for first violation because in my experience both the federal agency and the contractor are culpable for one infraction or the other. Secondly to find measure for federal government to follow the local standard procedures. 1 Like |

Nigerian youths are dead inflicted with ignorance, if govt fights corruption, the will complain, if the refuse to the will complain, though i knw the Gej govt hasnt done well in the fight against corruption, bt i think every little effort should be encouraged |

GEJ government is a fraud!!! it is the worst thing that ever happened anti-corruption fight. The bulk of those debarred companies the idiota are claiming responsibility for were debarred by the World Bank. most of those companies have since registered other trade names and have won good contracts and are subsisting till date. i once worked with 2 of those companies on client/customer basis and i can tell you pointedly that the debarring started during Abacha days. this is a travesty of information and i find this sickening GEJ may as well blind his eyes to corruption for the remaining 2years ahead 1 Like |
