NNS Karaduwa is built in Nigeria. There is a larger 50 meters vessel under-construction.
Yes I know but not at the Nigerian Naval Dockyard, the NND has the capacity to build ships up to 10 000T

Mystery Buffel recently spotted on the border between CAR and the Sudan. Photographer met the owners nearby, claimed they were South Africans and not regular military personnel.

My guess is that the Buffel is possibly operated by a Saffie security / demining company active in the CAR.

South Africans haven't used Beffels since the late 80s and they were mostly with the now defunct SWATF, 101 and 32 Batallion. These could have been refurbished and sold/donated.

Btw,Naijjans you know we're the only operators of the Vic3?

It was a good MBT for its era of the 80s but frankly lack of an APS and its 105 mm gun have made it underpowered in a battlespace of T 72s/80s/99s and 90s. Time to reengineer it thoroughly for new roles. Strip the turret and gun wrap it with ERA plates and introduce ther following VIC 3 variants

-terminator type armoured fire support vehicle

-heavy tracked APC with smaller turret and 23 4 cannon , btw there's a big market gap for such APCs

-armoured ambulance

-anti mine flail

Some would strip the tracks and design a 10x10 beast but imho I'd keep the tracks for whatever new roles envisioned.

How would you tinker with your Vics?

Yeah, I remember there was a buffel parked on our street during the elections.

The troepies drove us round the block in it. I dont know if they were conscripts or what... probably citizen force

I think its where my fascination with military equipment stems from.

I think the discontinuation of the Buffel service was by its own design. The driver seats separate from the rest of the rifleman, if you think that most of the drivers would have been white and the riflemen would (after 94) be black. Seeing a white dude driving black dudes around wouldn't make a great image.

Nice videos! This is far better than the B.S AfriCom organizes every year and brands as "special forces exercise"

Although I understand that in these videos are proper training facilities and africom has to do with what they have (makeshift everything..)
