In war, it's hard to fire artillery on targets 73 km away in a far away city, except you want to kill innocent civilians and incur the wrath of United Nations.

Real life war is NOT a video game. How do you do fire correction, can you see 73 km inside your enemy's territory? How do you even tie down the enemy constantly to same spot 73 km away, is the opposing army a foolish sitting duck ?

That's why the whole world is not rushing to buy artillery systems beyond 30 km range.

A photo thread this is, I don't wanna talk much bros.

Not many countries can afford and that's a fact.

What you're saying is another debate. As you're even comparing a howitzer to a MRL.

You can hit anything from columns, troops concentration, command posts and more.

The MRL in question can deliver guided rockets and other specialised rockets

100km covers a huge area and can support ground troops without having to constantly move.
many countries have a 155mm and 52 caliber artillery guns ,to increase range in artillery system you need to improve the caliber to 52 which has now become a military standard to most artillery systems and then improve the projectile (artillery shell)

That's not an RQ-11. It is either a licenced built or a copy. However, it is built by the Nigerian Airforce center for optimising local engineering(OLE).

It is called an Ichoku drone in Nigeria, launched same time as the Gulma.

I can't seem to find that photo, but when I do, i'll post it. I initially shared the image in this forum when it was launched in 2013.

It is certainly not an RQ-11.

It seems the order for the Beryl may have gone up to 6000 (According to Wiki.) That means we should be seeing more and more of that rifle in NA hands.

We'll have to wait and see.

You've no idea how artillery works, do you? The Nigerian Army artillery barrage on Bama was conducted 20km away. How do you think they did it? It behoves all of us to inform ourselves first (Google is your friend - failing which, the local library) before holding forth on subjects.

Though those rocket assisted shells carry a less punch compared to normal HE shells.

Most countries are still stuck with 39 and 45 caliber howitzers.

Seriously though, the U.S government releases at-least 400 - 500 photos of African militaries each year. I get most of all the Navy training photos from them.
