We all legit hunt This whole time i thought the commando and airborne insignia is shared but there looks to be some differences
Pic1:The former minister of defence is wearing a commando beret it has an open chute with a dagger in it and the customary laurel wreath and a tornado thing in it at the top
Pic2: The captain in the second pic is wearing what i think is an airborne beret,it has an open chute,tornado thing in it and laurel wreath but no dagger...was hoping for clearer pics

Looks like the dagger is the difference in the insiginia..with a dagger then ur a commando no dagger your a para

i know that marines went for SADC SF exercise stalwart in ZA couple of years ago...Their specific role(SF or SOF) still i dont know

It is highly unlikely that d Kenyans will deploy their forces to afghanistan considering the fact that they hv already deployed troops to somalia to contain the threat posed by. Al shabaab, I doubt if the kenyans have the capacity to simultaneously fund two foreign military operations at the same time that will leave a huge hole in its pocket in other words kenya is not in a position to do so considering wat it will cost in terms of personnel and finance. If Dillish's father is indeed in Astan then I think he is there as a PMC not on the payroll of the kenyan govt. I wouldn't fault him if he chooses to join the PMC bandwagon . The cash will come in handy considering the tough economic environment we live in.

Still makes me mad that we continue to lose men in Darfur because al-Bashir will not allow the UN/AU to deploy air assets. Private Malashe was escorting a UN civilian convoy; in a 2-hour battle. A platoon managed to fight off 3 companies worth of rebels with no support, for 2 hours, in an ambush. 1 trooper dead, 1 seriously injured! I'm f&*ng mad as a QRF with even Oryx with 20mm guns could have saved lives in those 2 hours.
F&*k the UN and the AU, allow us to do the job, or don't send us at all!

No 1 is even sure of the name of the Russian missile used. Could it be 3M-14 missile or RK-55?

Read somewhere that a Russian mig-29 locked on Turkish f-16 jet along turkish-Syria border but didn't shoot.

The surprise was that the Turkish jets were scrambled to intercept the Russians and guess who locked on it's target first

I just hope this whole fiasco doesn't lead to another war

Like i said in my post they said its SS-27 sizzlers (NATO reporting name) or 3M-14 "turqoise" (using Russian names)
