The Nigerian navy continues to pursue a localisation regime in her quest to fulfill the service's littoral and riverine combat requirements. The Nigerian navy in partnership with her local technical partners can build vessels which are 10 meters - 60 meters in length. It is hoped that the Nigerian navy in the coming years would totally cease to import vessels and ships that fall within this class. Hopefully in the future, we would continue to see growth in this sector, and sooner we can begin to build Corvettes and proper missile crafts. |

I stopped believing in that Mi-28 crap long time ago... Simply because if we had them, someone would have seen or heard something... I mean take the recently delivered Huey for e.g. Before they were delivered there was one being tested, and anyone with hearing that wanted to hear, noticed when it was hovering on our skies.... You can hide lots of secrets but you cant hide a flying helo, the unique sound of the night hunter is a dead giveaway... First because its an expensive piece of equipment, an order of a few units would cause a dent in someone's pocket... Anyway, its a long story but to cut it short... Kenya does not operate any,.... But at one point in time, we must have been at a ver advanced stage of acquiring them, cause if it was just an empty rumour, you wouldn't have all this international air magazines quoting the same thing at one point, one magazine when as futher as asking the manufacturer if Kenya operated any in which the manufacture denied...so hope that puts a rest to that... Here are different citations where this issue has been talked about... A magazine like flight international is a very old magazine which has been relied upon by lots of pilots and aviation experts at even them were at once quoted on the same, so you cant blame overzealous Kenyans from being alittle too enthusiastic to entertain the idea 1 Like

dragon2: Obsession, I'm obsessed with the vessel. I'll post more construction photos of the ship in the coming days. My problem is getting clear photos showing the entire length of the ship and photos of the ships front view. In my opinion, the next natural progression for us should be the Cyclone class ships. They are 52 meters littoral class ships, the type of ships we would need to meet our current threat. 4 units of these should be our target. 1 Like
