Highest - 5.6 Megabytes per second (not megabits)
Average- 1 Megabyte per second

For one of my friends I've seen 20 Megabytes per second.

speed oh, no speed oh, all i know is that im on the internet, given the fact that na naija i dey, appreciate anything good even in the smallest amount.

I don't think so. I've actually experienced 4Mbps with MTN on a few occassions, so I don't doubt sm1 getting a little more than that. But on average I get 200-300Kbps when I'm not downloading, but it often goes up to 1Mbps and smts 2Mbps when I'm downloading. This is on MTN and Airtel in Uyo. But there are too many times dat I get 0-4Kbps for hours or even days.

Wizard_of_Oz: .. I get speeds up to 3MB/sec but on average it's around 850KB/sec. I use glo bolt SS Nigeria. Bt Internet bundles r quite expensive..
Bt @Op, I'm curious.. Is it the speed of the wireless/wired connection within the office's internal network or the speed of the Internet connection?

2.70mps on average.......4.2mps when d network is good. I stay @Akure. Superfast. I use mtn in a cracked airtel modem.

download was 1.81mb and upload was 1.72mb..mtn via droidvpn..it lasted for close to 6mins

Don't mind them. Those speeds are not provided for home use juh. Na dia office T1 speeds dem dey post. Even fios lte won't give you 90mbs upload for home use. Na Japan u dey ni.....hanhan
