I am really nervous around
women

Set small realistic goals for yourself. You have nothing to lose by trying to push yourself, but let it be realistic and situational. A hungry person waiting for the bus in the rain is less likely to respond positively to your friendly "hello" than a bored colleague on a tea break. Anything inherently unnatural to you can become easier with practice, always!
