Youngzedd: Good morning and happy Sunday to all.

I have been wondering going to church with my tablet instead of physical bible. Although I haven't tried it for once.

Now, I wanted to ask if Physical bible and bible in tablet equals the same, as in powers and miracles?

Your contribution pls.

d easy worship application or software package now used in d church makes worship easy and aid easy accessibility of visibility of bible text, hyms and pictures.... So i think once its been provided or installed in d church, d church administration should discourage d use of note books and tablet (ipad) so as to prevent personal distraction or even distracting those around u in church. What matters is the intention. U need to understand that it is the word that matters not the form.

The fact is that going to church with a tablet may result in distraction, intimidation and competition in the church.

There's nothing wrong with using the tab if you have one as it allows one locate scriptures real fast but it's just that i noticed that many like to show off and feel among with it in church like it's such a big deal.

the arsenal discussion, usher moving up and down have nothing to do with u if rily u know ur aim of going to the church,is totally diffrent than taking a tablet to church, estimate then to 20 yrs from now,the bible will completely be lost and be old fashion, and tabs everywhere, then the pastor will be like'if u come with ur tab raise it up'evn those that cant afford will be force to own wot they dont want

At some point in history, the various have happened

- Translate the Bible to other languages (incl English) from Latin which invented words like Jehovah and Passover which before then had never been used or heard
- Printing copies so that the common man can have it as opposed to writing by hand
- Binding said printed copies with leather backs or cardboard backs
- Making smaller copies and many translations after the discovery of the dead sea scrolls
- Standalone electronic bibles
- Advent of touch screen devices that hold various translations of the bible

--- Possible Instant view on a hologram in 3D or perhaps dramatisation of every word as you read it or as you think it all in 3D. All these changes were and will be rejected by conservative people and accepted by liberal people as they happen(ed) but in the end everyone will accept it.

William Tyndale tried to translate the Bible to English from Latin and died for it but some years after his death everyone including perhaps the descendants of those that burnt him read the bible in English. As long as those who for personal reasons see everything wrong with e-bibles do not try to strangle and burn those who read e-bibles,and they do is complain and sneer then that should be fine. Their children however, WILL disappoint them.

As a note, I suspect churches will start to ban these devices since they all have recordable functions which is surely bad for business. CD sales will go down if they do not nip this in the bud as these devices get cheaper and cheaper.

by the same token, this also applies to the tablet carrier. if you are focused on what you went to church to do, nothing would distract you.

This is a non issue. Do u think the devil is afraid of the "bible"...he quoted from it in his quest to deceive Jesus. He reads the bible and knows it. Where it is written is just physical, Moses tablet, apple tablet, kJV...u name ur version, they are just letters. The word of God is the Zoe, the one u have put on the inside of u that u can reproduce in situations. That's what matters. The letter killeth but the Spirit giveth life.

Somorin#1:
For that one day of the week Bro, take pride and carry a regular bible.

For studying the word other times then use your smart device.

Guy, the most regular bible was written on stones. Do you once in a week take stones to church?
Note that the so called regular bible as u mentioned is nothing but paper and ink and only God knows the source of the paper and ink which could have been stolen and someone cheated with it, or someone bribed to procure or transport it.
There is no power or miracles seen on those paper and ink. What empowers God word whether on tablet, hard cover or on someone's buttocks is when humans live out the written word.

this point is weak....
if the mind of the bible carrier is also filled with lust and immoral acts, then he is as bad as the person with pörn on his gadget.

I concur.
Guess this means whether its electronic or otherwise, its potency depends on d mindset of the carrier.

Yungwizzzy: Bro, are you talking of the same tablet that has over 200 bluefilms??

Well, the devil is not scared of your phone or table or laptop but the physical Bible is fire to his eyes.

Though, no matter where you read your Bible from if you don't work according to it's instructions its useless!!

Bros nawaa Ooooo!

I don't have those stuff on my tab.

Why do christians always see technology as element of pride or a mark of carnality?once upon a time,tv set was seen as 'devil's box' and well starched shirts as 'd attire of d proud'.for God sake d best of things are meant to be enjoyed by xtians.either on paper, tablet or phone,d bible is still a book of one edition and many versions.

the scriptures have always been written....on stone, on slabs, on scrolls etc it was always written....dont see any wrong with taking a tablet to church but it doesn't feel real compared to the Book

Who determines what is real? You or God? I feel you sha. Very soon when papers are no longer en vogue , it will feel real.

The 10 commandments was first written on a stone TABLET before paper. Now it is on a Samsung tablet. Clear your mind and carry the word of God in it.

Soreza: i wonder why men of God use tablet instead of bible,i ask myself is it that the bible is 2 heavy for them,or they assume the word of God(bible)is outdated that tabelt is modern,i still wonder wot example they give to their member,Simply(DUMP THE BIBLE FOR TECHNOLOGY)

With this mundane mentality, you shouldn't even be on the internet and in a forum like this. Go stick to slum book.
Is the paper bible not technology?
Are u a learner?

SimonAndal:
Yes, big difference:
Going with a Bible guarantees you a first-class ticket to heaven, all expenses paid. Irrespective of whether you just räpèð a 5-year old virgin before coming.
Going with a Tablet, on the other hand, means you are a devil-worshipper that came to distract the populace, and guarantees you a one-way ticket to the inner circles of fiery damnation.

Really, are u kidding me? Dude u lack knowledge, you read your bible and check what it says. There is no difference in both, dey are both products of technology. And d best way to carry the word of God is to do so by heart.
