Dangote Attributes Success To Jonathan’s ‘favourable’ Policies by Nobody: 1:46pm On Sep 06, 2013 |
[size=13pt][b]Business mogul, Aliko Dangote, on Thursday said his achievements as Africa’s richest man and 25th richest person on earth was due to the favourable policies of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Dangote spoke on Thursday night in Nairobi when President Jonathan met with the Nigerian community in the East African country. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the meeting was part of the activities lined-up for the three-day visit of President Jonathan to Kenya which began Thursday. Dangote, who was on the President’s entourage told the gathering that Jonathan had done a lot to improve business climate in Nigeria. He said, “I want to tell you what the President has been doing in Nigeria. He is very humble and may not want to sing about what he has been doing. “I will tell you what he has been doing to Nigerians and to some of us who are in business in Nigeria. “We are very grateful for some of the policies he has introduced. “As you all know, without the good policies of government, there is no way a person like me from the big town like Kano can rise from a humble beginning to become the 25th richest person on earth. “Without the policies of Mr. President and also making sure that yes, there is consistency in the policies of government this could not have happened. “If Government has bad policies, the whole economy will crumble, and if they have good policies people will be able to prosper, and that is what it is happening now.” Dangote also attributed his success story to the reforms carried out by the Federal Government in the banking sector. If GEJ policies can make Dangote bloom in his business, i think is high thing i embrace the Growing Agricutural business policy of these great Nigerian President. From what i watch in the just concluded 19th economic summit, Nigeria is really on the right path to greatness. just a little continuity is needed, by 2020 we will have a great economy. Don't sit on the fence again oooo join me. 10 Likes |

taharqa:A fool sound the way you sounded. Monopolistic platform given to some Nigerian millionaire is more reason why we are where we are today. You must be foolish not to have known that- when you brake monopoly of some sectors in Nigeria, it will give an enambling enviroment for competetion which would later yield better service at reasonable price. Our railway system dilapidated state can be atributed to some selfish individual in this country. Perhabs you dont know about this go and research. 13 Likes |

How much did Dangote donated to Obj's second term campaign fund? If I'm right 150Million naira. He wouldn't have done that without some returns as an entrepreneur, same goes with Gej. Dangote is lucky Idiagbon did not last in power, he would have been caught red handed with cocaine. And you know what means with Idiagbon. 4 Likes |

yuzedo: Quit the bullshìt, Aliko! hardywaltz: I am pretty sure he said the same thing to OBJ and Yara'dua, he will still say the same thing to Atiku if he becomes President 2moro. Dont mind him, he is just playing "Politics of the Gullible"! Starting as far back as the Shagari regime (1979), IBB regimes, Abacha/Abdulsalami and Obachonjo double regimes, ... all gave him the sole right and import license (with MONOPOLY to boot), to be the sole importer of most essential commodities like Vegetable Oil, Sugar, Flour, Salt, Cement for 160-Million citizens in west Africa's largest economy, even if he was a dumb-ass fool, he would still be the richest man in Africa. Its all about "opportunities and using your politival connections to tip the In advanced countries, you go to jail for "anti-competitive/monopoly/price-fixing practices like this" Is it anybody'e wonder that we still pay one of the highest, extortionist prices for those essential commodities he has a monopoly over? I dont envy him just like l dont envy anyone but please, dont play to the gallery and take us for mugun. In Nigeria, your opportunity comes if you move in the right political circles....and its up to you to take them. Dangote took his own and has been taking them since then. Lastpage! 31 Likes |

Dangote is a liar! Dangote was a bilionaire before Jonathan became a politician. Dangote, you don't have to kiss Jonathan's a55 before you buy the rest of Nigeria. Dangote once said and I quote "you don't fight any government in power even when they are against you. You praise them even when they are against your business interest. I am the best friend of every Nigerian President". Just because you have unprecedented import waiver from the Presidency doesn't make it a favoroble business experience for all other business men and women. Not everyone gets the same waivers the President gives you. Dangote should tell us how much he is paying the president, his family and associates in forms of campaign and political contributions before getting his import and tax waivers. 9 Likes |

taharqa: Oh! SHUT that mouth of yrs tha, Nitwit. Were it even remotely suggesting otherwise, you wud have been singing another song, loudly abi??.Please can you prove your assertion that Nigeria has enjoyed the greatest FDi in Africa in the past 2 years? Though i'm quite busy, a quick check of this fact appears rather contrary with Angola appearing to benefit the greatest within the African continent from FDI as reported by KPMG.
