Re: The Silent Lover by underage(f): 12:58pm On Nov 13, 2013
“They seem so happy.” Deeba said with a satisfied smile on her lips, looking at the happy couple, as they raced past her into the darkness--- a husband and his wife.

“Happiness lies for those who cry,” Maulana uncle said with a sober smile as he came to join her. “Those who’ve been hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried. For only they can appreciate the importance of the people who have touched their lives.”

“Our plan did work well.” Deeba smiled.

“Our plan?” Maulana uncle repeated, smiling back at her. “Allah’s plan worked well. Only He joins the hearts.”

“But why does one have to go through failures, sufferings, pain, sorrows and all that?”

“That’s a part of your life. God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.”

“I never ever saw such a person who was so much disappointed from his life…and now here he is…enjoying life and its pleasures to their fullest.” Deeba said happily, there were tears of gladness in her eyes.

“Disappointments are like road humps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Never let yesterday’s disappointments overshadow tomorrow’s dreams.” Finishing his sentence, Maulana uncle gave her a truly fabulous smile and then motioned her to walk beside him.

“Don't stay on the humps too long. Move on!”

“But Maulana uncle… how did you find her?”

Before answering, he took a long breath and then said,

“Aariz Ali had told me that she had showed her interest toward teaching in an Islamic school. So it was just an idea to start working upon. In the beginning, I was not very much sure myself. I contacted all major Islamic schools related with her ‘specific’ religious community. I began to search for all newly appointed female teachers in such schools. It was not that easy. As due to their religious nature, and professional code of conduct, they keep all new entries of teachers and students strictly confidential. But since I was a teacher myself, and gave a genuine reason that I am searching for my long-lost elder daughter, they did provide me some hints and tips, like they have recently appointed a new teacher, ‘Hijaab Zehra’, age twenty-two in AhleBait’s school of Islam, and that’s where I saw her for the first time.”

“That must be tough. Wasn’t it?”

“It was not so easy.” He agreed. ”But Allah always creates resources and sources…links and contacts through which we could find our ultimate way. Accordingly, you came into the scene…you wanted to learn more about Islam, what could teach you about Islam more than AhleBait’s School of Islam? So I decided to tell you to join ‘A S I’.”

“Do you know uncle?” She lowered her head, as she took few steps forward. “Sometimes, I really feel down because of the things I have done back in the past. God…I was a complete ignorant…”

“When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God is thinking of something better to give you.” Maulana uncle replied in a soft, touchy tone.

“Yes…” Deeba said excitedly. “That’s so true. He gave me ultimately what I always wanted, the true glorious path, a way of light…and spiritual satisfaction.” She cried huskily. “A dream come true, for me.”

“You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it true.”

“But doesn’t it feel like a dream?” Deeba waved her hand toward Aariz and Zeest, who were now too absorbed in each other to notice them. “How he got her again? That’s so unbelievable.”

“When you think you have no chance at getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, you probably sooner or later will get it.” Maulana uncle told her soberly.

“Always remember daughter,” He closed his eyes for an instant. “When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.”

“Well… she finally made him love her. That’s her victory.” Deeba sighed, straightening herself up.

“You can't make someone love you,” Maulana uncle refused calmly. “All you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.”

“I wonder sometimes, how could he let her go like this?” Deeba questioned, curious. “I mean it must not be so easy for him.”

“There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind, but keep in
mind letting go isn't the end of the world. It’s the beginning of a new life.”

“It’s so weird.” Deeba closed her eyes for a second and exclaimed. “And yet so amazing that how he was going to kill himself one day and now here he is… full of life and activity.”

“Yes.” Maulana uncle nodded thoughtfully. “He tried his best to re-achieve what he’d lost. He was not a loser so didn’t try to commit suicide again. The strongest people are not those who always win but those who stand back up when they fall.”

“But it was not so easy for him” Deeba said. “As first he had to lose his pride and false ego which was continuously stopping him from taking a right step.”

“Yes…” Maulana uncle gave her short answer. “That’s the key. It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride.”

“Tell me uncle,” Deeba said curiously, walking side by side with him. “Can we measure the intensity of love?”

“Well,” He sighed contentedly, then said. “The measure of love is when you love without measure. In life there are very rare chances that you’ll meet the person you love and loves you in return. So once you have it don't ever let go, the chance might never come your way again.”

“You’re so right.” Deeba said sentimentally. “We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already Love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.”

“But…is it possible to fall in love twice?” It was Deeba last question, as she stopped and looked at him with all of her senses active and alive to hear the answer of her most thoughtful question.

He stopped with her to give her another broad smile. “Yes, it’s possible.”

“You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it”.

The last question is confusing me too,i don't think it is possible even if it is. The love won't be as strong as the first cos you won't want the same mistake to repeat itself undecided
