When do other country deploy their own soldiers to Nigeria for peace keeping? its us sending our soldiers to go and die or get rich wen dey come back. Boko haram has been tomenting us for years now and there are no peace keepers from other country. Feeling fly on d outside wen ur country is in a mess. 1 Like |

There is nothing like ' Mr' Uba or ' Mr' Jubril in the military. You call ev ery officer with his rank, they are not civilians. Therefor, the writer is supose to say: General Uba or General Jubril. 1 Like |

Billyonaire: Its better to send them to Syria to join the Syrian Army in flushing out the rebels. Do you really know what is happening in Syria at all ? How will they flush out rebels who are fighting for their country being ruled by a dictator. It is Assad and his soldiers that needs to be flushed out. |

It is true that real war ended in liberia few years back, these are not just going for peace keeping, they going to train the newly formed liberia troops. For those people that don't, Nigerian Army and Airforce run things in liberia, we are in charge of their defence as a whole, Nigeria troop control almost everything in that country, do you guys know that there are still pocket of charles Taylor loyalist? Liberia is like a the 38th state for Nigeria. The security of the president is in the hand of the Nigeria troops and a lot of things and i believe their mandate there is also supported by the UN. And for those who think because we have boko haram issue, so soldier should not be sent out for peace keeping, google and you will find out that there are countries with internal problem and yet their troops are still in some other countries keeping the peace. Thank you. 2 Likes |

Tony Spike: Is there still war in Liberia? What type of peace are they exactly going to keep at a war-free country? This is quite funny... theres a big difference between peace keeping and peace enforcement. Every smart states knows that the best way to ensure domestic peace is to ensure your neighbours' . Conflict has and always will be a contagion. Im fed up of people always being antagonistic without being empirical. More soldier staying at home is oof no advantage to our counter-terrorism campaign. 1 Like |

Some of you guys need to understand the difference between peace enforcement and peace keeping. Some of you need to understand the role of nigerian military in united nations missions most especially in some african country neighbour. The fact that we have challenges in Borno and other states doesn't mean the military lacks Man power to fulfil its united mission obligations. Do you even have idea of strength of nigerian army? Before formation of 7 division, I guess its the JTF incharge of operation in the north. This involves not only the military but other security agencies also. Stop spitting shit, ask meaningful questions if u seem confused instead of condemnation always. |

God bless your generations. People are always quick to condemn. They have forgetten Nigerian troops (ECOMOG) liberated liberia. There presense is still very much needed, the way the american troops are still in iraq and afghanistan. Someone is mentioning ASUU here, I wish he knew how much money the Nigerian Governmentt/Army makes from UN MISSIONS! What is 700 soldiers compared to NA strenght. That's not even up to the population of soldiers in some barracks |

Opey4luv: If these 700 military men join hands with the JTF, that will be a step closer to flushing out Shekau and his dogs. it's just 700 men, ie a battalion, not a full brigade or division. |

Sherlock Holmes: The Army recently withdrew several soldiers from foreign operations because of domestic duties.nigeria would not venture into a non-profitable deal,if there's nothing at stake here(monetary, political),the nigeria army won't deploy service men to liberia 1 Like |

Adamskuty: haba! I thought the liberian civil war ended 8 years ago nah nawa ooh! this war no dey finishThere is a multinational Peace Keeping force in Liberia, the various contributing countries routinely change their personnel every six months. The soldiers about to be deployed are going to take over from their comrades in Liberia. The contributing c0untry is reimboursed by the office of Peace Keeping at the United Nations. **In short these S0ldiers are going to make some $$ for themselves** **Ghanaian with a Military Background** |
