Signs and wonders come in response to the steps you take.God does not take excuses from His children, He simply tells them, “Go forward”(Exodus 14:15). Keep taking steps irrespective of the opposition.God said, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you”(Josh. 1:3).Until you begin to tread you don’t possess.You determine the extent of what God gives to you,because “Every place…” implies an unlimited provision.Men don’t lack opportunities they only lack action.See u at the top b4 d end of d year , Remain Blessed

why is it so hard to talk about God, but so easy to talk about sex?, why are we so bored to look at a Christian magazine, but so easy to read a playboy magazine?, why is it so easy to delete a Godly offline messages , yet we forward the nasty ones? why are churches getting smaller, but yet bars and clubs are growing??, think about it, let God be pleased with everything you do.
Cheers.

Nowadays its difficult to get a real church that preaches the word of God.

Its all about gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, mentality.

This is what Paul had to say about such people ;

Phillipians 2 - 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

Phillipians 3 - 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you
even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19
Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is
in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation
is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus
Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned
like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is
able even to subdue all things unto himself.

So the point that I am making here is that the last day church is exactly what it is - the CHURCH OF LAODECIA.

Revelation 3 - 14"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. 15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful unclothedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Church is a place for :

- Prayer

- Fasting

- Fellowship with the brethren to exhort, rebuke, edify, correct and praise God in HOLINESS

I must confess what i see in todays kind of christianity is nothing but FILTH and more FILTH.

In the church today you will get - unrepentant ponographers, serial adulterers, wife beaters, thiefs, liars ( both small and whte lies ), 419, and all manner of wickedness.

However my fellow pple, there is hope for ME and for YOU - we are guilty for ;

- Living for ourselves and for now

- not caring enough for the LOST which includes our own sibling and parents.

Steps to recovery ;

1 Jesus first in all that we do

2. Go out and preach the word of God.

3. Remember the ancient landmark -

Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. – Proverbs 22:28

The king is coming - are you ready ?

God bless y'all

APPOINTMENT WITH DESTINY  (Part 1)   Matt 15:21-28

Isn't It ironic that people find it very difficult to lead kingdom lifestyle here on earth but wants to come down because they understand that when heaven is in place,miracles take place there?so was the case of the woman of canaan in our text. No doubt she's visited people and places for solution to her problem and must have afterwards prayed to God but received delayed answer. Eventually, the answer came by arranging a meeting between Jesus and her. It was a heavenly designed appointment which cancelled other engements of Jesus
By Supernatural m,aking,all roads led both Jesus and the woman to the coast of Tyre and sidon,the venue of the appointment.vs 21 22.
Though the woman could not discern that Jesus covered a long distance to bring her miracle to her, however, she took advantage of the coincidence and quickly put forward these four special prayer request:
1 ", Have mercy on me O Lord,my daughter is severely sick"
This prayer did not receive immediate answer from Jesus,so in her desperation, she turned to his disciples for aid but to her disappointment they worsened her condition.she lost all her chances of meeting the Saviour.

During the gospel age, God is calling out individuals to become part of his church to rule and reign with Christ. These will be on the throne with Christ in heaven (Acts 15:14).

I learnt (in a nutshell) that one cannot "sit on the fence" on issues concerning the authenticity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God - He wasn't just a great teacher, and did not leave that open to us to decide. Whoever isn't for him is against him. (Matthew 12)

Re: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by jesusfreak(f): 10:11am On May 22, 2007
in church last sunday, the message theme was "Take Heed"

it was about the end time signs and how men become lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God.

to me, it's amazing how the Bible speaks of things that are happening even in our own time!This is an assurance that the word of God is true and real.

its good to look into the Book of Revelation once in a while in order to remind oursleves of the coming of the Lord Jesus cos sometimes, the hustle and bustle of this life might make us forget. and sometimes we tend to assume we can make it our own but i KNOW that without God i am NOTHING.

ive tried to walk by myself many times but i always ended up crawling back to HIM.

friends, let's not forget our saviour's love and promise

HE'S COMING BACK AGAIN!!!!! cheesy

You have to make sure you're representing God effectively. Don't be a hypocrite. if people are around you talking about or doing something that is contrary to the word, don't go along with them. Even something as simple as people telling dirty jokes or fornication stories--if you egg the person on, or laugh at their tale, you are acknowledging and encouraging them; making them believe you are in agreement with what they're saying, Thus, being hypocritical because you actually are not. Sometimes you do it inadvertently, but always make sure you act in a way that reflects your faith. You want people to KNOW that you are a Christian without them having to ask you or you having to tell them.

If you let worldy and carnal things control your mind you are dead but if your mind is controlled by the Holy Spirit you have life and peace. The carnal mind is God's enemy, it does not submit itself to His laws and as a matter of fact it can not do so.

Romans 8:6,7

I have to give why to such leadings of the Holy Spirit as prayer, reading the bible, pure conversations and holy behavior.

Today i learn at church that God is telling people to eat flesh and drink blood.
The word “cannibalism” according to the American Heritage Dictionary is defined as “eating the flesh of other human beings.”
     According to The Bible in John 6:54-57, 2 Kings 6:28-29, and Ezekiel 39:17, God is telling people to eat flesh and drink blood.

@Horus,

Horus:

Today i learn at church

What church was that?

Horus:

that God is telling people to eat flesh and drink blood.
The word “cannibalism” according to the American Heritage Dictionary is defined as “eating the flesh of other human beings.”
According to The Bible in John 6:54-57, 2 Kings 6:28-29, and Ezekiel 39:17, God is telling people to eat flesh and drink blood.

Where did God "tell" people to eat flesh and drink blood in 2 Kings 6:28-29 and Ezekiel 39:17?

Did you read the context of John 6:54-57?

What do you have to say about your "black jesus" who no one knows today, or who has simply been forgotten? What did your black jesus do for you?
Re: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by twitch(m): 2:07am On May 30, 2007
@ Telly B,
Why do you bother about people like Horus?
People like Horus are only testaments to the prophesy of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Have you no knowlege of the prophesy or the signs that would herald the dawning of the new day? Rejoice therefore brethren,the time is nigh,and the sun is set. We who have been known in heaven shall be taken,when the glorious "Thief" shall come for us at night,we who were bought with His blood.
Re: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by twitch(m): 2:21am On May 30, 2007
@ Seun,
i learnt that being born again means to be born not just of a new spirit,but being born with an ability to defeat the flesh. In essence, temptation is to the flesh,but sin is to the spirit. Hence the prayer ", lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" (Our Lord's prayer). Temptation is an assault/attack on the five basic human senses of,
1. Sight
2. Touch
3. Hearing
4. Smell
5. Taste.

But if you get entangled in the web of temptation, pick up the spiritual telephone and dial J E S U S ,and He shall deliver you, Thank God Almighty for JESUS CHRIST,

in ezikiel it's saying eating the flesh of animals, you know, the meat we eat to survive?
and in 2 kings, that was not the command of God, it was the doing of the 2 women, and the king went to God for help and advice on that matter. And in John, it's not speaking literally. If you haven't noticed, the Bible uses a lot of anoalogies: similies, and metaphors---Eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus----justlike communion--or don't you do that?? He shed his flesh and blood for us on the cross to forgive us of all of our sins. So eating his flesh and drinking his blood symbolises something like accepting his forgiveness, you get me? At least half of the Bible speaks figuratively. And not once in any of those verses is the word 'cannibalism' used, so i don't know what that has to do with what your saying, but just trying to set u straight. no hard feelings
Re: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by TellyB(m): 9:17am On May 30, 2007
@twitch,

I really don't have to bother with people like Horus - he's just a confused renegade of his own racist black jesus movement which is neither here nor there. Having lost contact with their so-called factology, they've turned against themselves to eat their own skins, and from within that matrix will ever seek to cast aspersions on Christ and the Bible.

He's not even half-witted enough to construct a sane sentence, let alone hold his tuff when exposed to light and intelligence. And yes, you're right that he's one of those self-defeated chumps fulfilling Biblical prophecies. I'm not bothered, because more of them will come, and they'll be beaten back to their racist holes.

Blessings.

---------------------------

@afroqueen1,

At least, you've taken the time to explain his misgivings about the non-existent cannibalism he read into the Bible. Perhaps he would sooner than later come to terms with his misplaced beliefs. If he doesn't, no shakings.

Cheers.
