As the preacher was preaching today,my eyes were opened to certains things,the mistake adam and eve made,and the fact that we are also making the same mistake now, hence we are the cause of our suffering. ********************************** According to the book of Genesis 2 vs 15-17 (vs15)"the lord God place the man in the garden of eden to tend and watch over it. (vs16)but the lord God warned him,"you may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden. (vs17)except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. if you eat its fruit,you will surely die... ******************************** Now lets take a look at the book of genesis 3 vs 22 " and the lord God said,"behold,the man has become one of us,knowing good and evil,what if they reach out,take from the fruit of the three of life and eat it?then they will live forever!, (vs 24) after sending man out of the garden,the lord God place at the east of the garden of Eden cherubims,and a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the the tree of life. ********************************* Looking at the two passages,we will see that in the first,God gave to man the right to eat of every fruit, except that of "good and evil",that is to say adam and eve would have eaten from the the "tree of life" if they were obedient and patient,because it was among the trees that God had given them the priveledge to eat,but out of greed,disobedience and lust of their flesh they missed out on the opportunity and decided to eat that which brought death. ********************************* You would also see that in the second passage God told his angel to block the way to the "tree of life",immediately they sinned,hence denying man the priveledge of enternal life which was once given to us on a platter of gold by God himself. ********************************* LESSONS TO BE LEARNT: now in relation to our lifes,the life lesson we should deduce from the passages,is that any time we "sin" something better which is supposed to be our by right is taken away from us and we have to work ten times harder to get it back,because like it or not,one of our major goals as christian is to gain enternal life which is not easy to get,but this enternal life was once freely given to man take,but man refused,so it is with us,we would wonder why we are not able to move forward?,why we have to suffer to achieve some things?,it's as a result of our sins,yes!,because everytime we sin,something better that is ours by right is taken from us.so i will indulge you to have a sober reflection,and change,because at the end you will see that your problems are as a result of your own sins ******************************** prayer: finally, i will urge you to beg God for his mercies and forgiveness,that every good thing that has been taken from you, as a result of your own sins,he should in his infinite mercy restore unto you.
